This is a tutorial made to help the beginning artist better understand how wings function as they close. =]
This one was done in photoshop, but it's pretty much the same concept with traditional media. Just remember to draw lightly!
Let me know if anything is confusing at all, or if there's something that you think can be improved on to help better understand the process. (Aside from the fact that it's not 100% accurate...I know that. And go-go typo lol).

-This is artist reference for beginners as a -basic- explanation for better understanding wing anatomy.
- The drawings that appear in this tutorial are not 100% accurate.
-This is only to be used in conjunction with other wing guides to help better understand drawing wings for the beginner.
-There are many great books and tutorials out there, if you'd like to learn true wing anatomy pick up a book such as "artist's reference guide to birds".
