Well, I said I'd give it a try. I never said anything about being successful. But better to try and fail then to never try at all.

This is my attempt at creating the up coming Video Game themed Kamen Rider, Ex-Aid! And...It could have come out better. I feel like I did a really good job on the legs, belt, and chest piece. Which were the parts I thought were gonna be the hardest. I think I kind of botched the arms, the suit's black lines, the big green collar (which I either made too big or too small) and the helmet. Overall, I think it came out better then my attempt at Kamen Rider Ghost from a year ago. But I think I did a passable job. At the very least, at least I have decent enough assets for when someone commissions me for an Ex-Aid styled Rider. So there's that.

As for the design itself, it's really grown on me. It certainly has it's oddities; like the black arms/legs and the fact that his feet look like sneakers, but other then that there's nothing really all that bad to me at least. I think the highlight of the design is the Chest Piece, which has a generic Video Game Head's Up Display (HUD) design (it even features the two modes of Ex-Aid's weapon). The only thing that bugs me about it is the button pad on his chest. It fits the video game theme, but I would have liked a stylized logo of Ex-Aid's face just to play up the HUD theme. But the whole thing is shaped like a retro controller, so it kind of works...even though every controller within the past 20+ years have had the buttons on the OTHER side. Also, the colors and how they're arranged are identical to the button layout of an XBox360 Controller, it's just missing the letters. So we've had a PlayStation Reference with Fourze, and now an Xbox reference with Ex-Aid? Now all we need is a Nintendo reference and we'll have the three major game companies in Kamen Rider!

Like with Ghost, I'm only doing the Default Form for Ex-Aid. I'm not doing any of his alternate modes, and I'm certainly not gonna attempt the Chibi Mode...though that one may change. Not even sure how I'd tackle that...maybe I could use Patrick's "Obese" Template and go from there? Whatever.
