To monitor Unit R4N-M4 through the uplink to the main server she now had. It was always weird to see what the bots understood of the world through their programming.
As Unit R4N-M4 walked through the crowd, smiling sweetly at everyone who showed interest, she hid a unique view of the world behind her solid blue eyes. Everyone she saw were not regarded as strangers just possible clients, but she would also scan them and receive data on what kind of customer they could possibly be.
Like whose she was while still human, Unit R4N-M4 was now a Hostess Bot. Lighting cigarettes, pouring drinks, offer flirtatious conversation, and sing karaoke to entertain customers. Rather then being a martial artist, the red hair robot was more a modern counterpart of geishas, providing entertainment mostly for customers that would come to her after work. Though Unit R4N-M4 retained the martial artist skills in case there are time that she had to deal with unruly customers.
So far, R4N-M4 had not actually done anything that her programming of a Hostess Bot would have encouraged, but she had sent several volunteers towards the Cyberdyne display when they expressed an interest in the process. As result of using her hostess programming to convince them to do so.

What happens if Kuno finds out what happened to his pig-tailed goddess and his (typical anime style) insanely rich family sues the company?
What about "those guys" who were looking for Ranma to begin with? (I'm assuming Ryoga, Mousse, Kuno).

She recalls it all but Unit R4N-M4's programming views that as merely memories to help with her purpose as a hostess
There is an idea that happens when one Kuno fights out what has happened to Ranma at least

So any of her friends and family will recognize her as A) A robot based on her, or B) Ranma having gotten zapped or something?

Uniformity is important for any product (which they basically are now). But for the sake of keeping things interesting, how is it different that Ranma became the hostress rather than say Usagi? How would they have carried out their functions differently? This is important to ask.

Unit R4N-M4's personality and memories are being used to make her the best hostess she can be. Using what she already knows and has together with her hostess programming to make her unique at her task. Unit U54-G1 is a Mechamorph Unit where she transform herself into various forms that helpful to others. thus probably taking her own personality into account that could be used to help care out her programming as Mechamorph Unit even better.

Unit R4N-M4 is probably going to talk more about more about things related to fighting and what not as she probably come off a somewhat of a tomboyish hostess at times because her memories and personality of being Ranma. While Unit U54-G1 would be more knowledge other things, very trusting and always looking in to the best in her customers
Unit R4N-M4 might be better mechamorph related to combat and how her various form could be used in a fight

I think (please correct me if I am wrong) that part of what Alexwarlorn is getting at is that robots who have had their personalities wiped are not very interesting to read about in the long term. A lot of your responses here sort of linger on technicalities -- they have their memories but they aren't relevant to them, and so on. The thing is that vibrant personalities are being wiped out and that is not being examined and you don't seem interested in that aspect. The issue, I believe, is that that part is the most important one of all. I'm interested in a Ranma or Usagi or whomever who still has that fundamental aspect of themselves intact -- that is a source of conflict that can drive a story, be it their loved ones looking to regain them or they themselves looking to cope with the fact that they are no longer human. Simply having their change be a done deal and moving on to another victim? That kind of story always peters out before long because it's basically fetish-by-numbers. 'Person is made into a robot that acts nothing like they used to. Another person is made into a robot, same deal. Another person....' See what I'm getting at?

While I think Kamon72 can but lazy with his leisure writing, and I understand where he's coming from, though yeah, it's more interesting if Hostess Ranma and Hostess Usagi would have different approaches and priorities to their new hardwired reason for living.

I had more detailed reply but I lost it when I screwed up and closed my web broswer. Thus I am not going to re-write the entire thing and merely attempt to get the point.
I think (please correct me if I am wrong) that hobbies are suppose to be fun first and foremost. Then it stops being a hobby and becomes work if it no longer fun. Though certain level of work is to be expected in your hobby but only until your own personal level(which is different for each person). thus I personally have no interest the conflict that you and Alexwarlorn want for this particular story. Its annoying and gets in the way of what this particular story is. That being nothing more then "Roboticize one character then move on" as there is no long term beyond this one point.
If you want your views to be reflect in this particular story then one of you must being willingly to help with the development of the story beyond what it is currently. That or I could let you know about stories idea where that is the something I am attempting to do similar(story ideas which Alexwarlorn had been told about but rejected for various reasons)

And there's the fact this company will clearly be SELLING transformed humans as a PRODUCT since they did it in a public audience and made a sales pitch. Do they plan to use more people as raw material, or 'clone' so to speak their 'show room floor' models? They clearly plan to use loop holes that the law isn't written to handle yet. After all, they're 100% machines now, so it isn't technically slavery. And they aren't technically dead, so it isn't murder. And they did again, technically, volunteer.

They are a pretty big company that is known for doing things like this. Yup a lot more people go through with the process both volunteer and otherwise. While there is no laws there is programming written into them that cause them not really question the orders they are given

The other guy did make a fairly good point.
Sure, she has a new name, and she sees being a hostess as being the absolute single purpose for her existing, but it's important to note how Ranma/Ranko will not act with her reason to live being a hostess and, as you said, programmed not to question orders.

Why is it important to do something like that when the story is basically a "Roboticize one character then move on" type. Neither one of you have convince or inspired me to do more then I want too at the moment for this story.
