Your stuff is striking, just striking. Β I won't sully this with a bunch of artistic talk, but all that comes to mind is you have a gift to make the simple powerfully evocative. Β I would write a book just to have this as the cover.

that's funny. someone requested this one for a book cover

They have very good taste!Β  Unfortunately for me, the book I've just finished writing requires a cover element that doesn't exist.Β  I many have to do half of the cover in CG and half in photography.

I love the contrast! There are these sweeping designs in the armor but it's still all just metal. It's unchangeable, inorganic, cold, and sterile. Though it tries to be artistic, it still just has a single function, a single purpose. The hair, however, is completely organic and free. The braid isn't perfect and is swept by the wind. Beautiful.

i believe it is from watching and loving movies. so, essentially, i am influenced by cinematography. there is also the element of thinking sometimes in terms of album cover art as well.

Escaping the usual doom,
a maiden, a knight and a dragon
planned a trip to the Moon on scapular wings,
over a single full flagon.
BE -- ALL THAT YOU CAN BE (without waiting for the intoxications of ephemeral romance, and you really don't have to join the army).

Reminds me of young Queen Elizabeth, looking upon a soon to be battlefield. Course my history is all rusty and that could be dreadfully wrong. I however like the direction you choose, to take a picture of her back- that red hair is defiant upon that steel. Nice capture indeed.

It seems as if she is finished with her mission, and doesn't know what to do with herself during the recess (she has always been busy, downtime is wasted time to her). The sky, though, is reminding her that she will have plenty of things towards which she may direct her energies.

That's my version of the back story, anyway

I like this photo, because it brings emotion and imagination to what is not in the image. I like to see what is not visible in a picture. Great pic all by itself, too!

B eing a fan the Pucelle d'Orleans, this is wonderfull, the new trendy take on her story is that she would have been so kind of spleeper agent, a bastard daughter of Charles IV, who was pretty promiscuous as most king were, hidden amongst the poeple...some says a real peasant girl would not have been even allowed to ride a horse or used arms...and she would not have been burned, there is portraits of somebody who could be her in a castle, dating after Rouen, interesting theory but sceptic that even the nobles could pull off something like that, Great PIC!!!
