A scene made for an exhibit with a bunch of artists in Paris on the theme "Everybody falls"....I took my chance with the fall of rome and the fear to be away from the point O__O"All photoshoped.
I'm grateful to who kindly accepted to be my model for the fallen Roman citizen^^

I love the way the buildings of Rome seem to be closing in on her, giving the illusion that her life is falling apart.

The way everything is stacked up behind shows how far Rome was fallen. The fire looks amazing and well crafted. I love the texture of the piece. The only thing I have a problem with is the woman. I'm not fond of the way her clothes are falling off. I might be paranoid but this just seems to sex appeal, but hey I could be wrong!

Thanks for your comment. And no, you're not paranoid. I first planned to do a sexy rome citizen, as a pin-up. She was supposed to be the main subject.
But I enjoyed so much working on the background, it was getting bigger and took more space on the page, and became the subject itself. So maybe the character finally doesn't matches with the scene... dunno...^^

I don't mind sexy pinups. That's fine but it bothers me when such a nice picture has something like that in it. I can understand what you're saying though!

Impressive. What I like is that the cause of total destruction is for a viewer to guess, be it the wrath of the gods or the enemies invading. The look of fear on the girl's face is quite natural.

I had a barbarian march on Rome in mind when I did it. But yes, anyone can imagine several reasons of this destruction.
