Oh how I wish it were that simple!!! Bush, Cheney and that gang are all lieing frauds. How could America have willingly elected a president that is not only dumb, but wants to make a name for himself by causing war and sabre rattling, not to mention his very high dissreguard for the world's environmental health, along with a vise pres who dropped out of YALE (or was it Harverd?), who both have failed and driven to the ground ALL enterprises they had been previously afiliated with. Does this show that the average American takes everything for granted/as it is said and has an IQ of 80?
Kerry at least was smart and cared about something other than war and had a good agenda.
enough of the ranting, sorry.
Anyway, good ID, made me laugh!

lol XD The problem is, who's gonna run the country now? Or rather once Bush is 'officially' kicked out. Not Cheney's all I have to say XD Not that I'm American, but I'm a neighbour

I'd rather have Cheney in charge than Bush. Cheney may be evil, but at least he's not a simple moron like Bush Jr.

I don't know how shrewd he is, but I have no problem with the idea of war. Had he just been upfront and honest about it from the beginning, instead of lying to us about links to 9/11, etc. I would have been fine with that. But he wanted war before 9/11, and used the attack as an excuse to finish the war his dad should have finished 10 years earlier. I am just opposed to the double standards. Republicans are masters of "Do as we say, not as we do."

That is, mildly, shrewd. He found something he knew the public would buy, and ran with it. I'm happy he did. Otherwise, we probably wouldn't have made it to war, and that, IMO, would be bad. Dishonesty is a big part of American politics. You can't get around it. I love politics, especially when the mudslinging of a Presidential Election starts. Oh bush this, meh Kerry that, etc. I love it.

Ah, see, I hate the mudslinging. It was very bad for Clinton to have smoked some pot, the republicans went on and on about that, but it's cool for Bush to be an alc and a former Cocaine user? Come on... why do we need the mudslinging? At least Kerry was in enemy fire.. Bush was a coward and stayed home like a lot of other rich kids.

What the hell are you talking about? Most of the jokes I've heard about Bush are either on the subject of his child-like attention span, or his having a DUI. I don't believe I've heard about the Cocaine, mind backing that up? A link to a reputable site will sufice. Kerry got lucky, Bush got slammed, and is continually getting slammed, because he's not all that bright. Kerry is more-less forgotten.

I will find a site to the Cocaine, it's there. He did it when he was younger. And the dude is a moron, and controlled from behind the scenes. He's not the shrewd one. Rove, Cheney... they have the brains. People like Bush because he speaks their language. I'm sorry, I want someone running the show who is much smarter then I am, not dumber. I look back fondly at Bush 1, cause at least he was smart and got somewhere in the world on his own too feet and with his own brain. This Bush... he has ridden other's coat tails his whole life.

How is that Awkward? Bush should be impeached. I'm not crazy about Cheney, but at least the man has brains. He may not have a morale fiber in his body, but he can think unlike Baby Bush.
No, I am not on a personal mission to attack Bush. I just feel it's my right to speak up as an American. Doesn't make me less patriotic, doesn't make me not support the troops. Our Freedom of Speech is one of the most important aspects of being an American.

Now you're just getting repetitive, I mean you just said that Dubya isn't the one in control. "controlled from behind the scenes". So, by proxy, Cheny and Rove and all those shrewd politika specimen are in control.

I didn't realize I hadn't answered your post here... yes, I do feel Cheney and Rove are the brains behind the throne, and that Bush is being used because he has an everyman quality. Frankly, I don't want a president that is just like me. i want someone who was head of his class, did something brilliant with his life, and has morals. Bush defines the "got somewhere because of daddy" or "rode someone else's coat tails." Every business he has touched has been damaged, including the USA. We went from having a SURPLUS to being a DEFICIT nation once again, and in such a short time it made my head spin.
Our current priorities are all wrong. We are telling people the world over DO AS WE SAY but then we are not leading by example.

But if Cheney and company are the ones pulling the decisions, then the person (people) running the country aren't the everyman type. They are vindictive and focused. I'm not so sure the US is "damaged," as you put it, but merely in a transitional stage. Just be glad you're better off than you could've been. I guess you're getting happy that the presedency will be changing here in a little less than a year, no?

You said: "Just be glad you're better off than you could've been" and this makes NO sense to me I was financially MUCH better off under Clinton, we were safer in the world under Clinton, and more respected in the world under Clinton. Things have gone downhill for most people since Bush got into office. Well, except for the War Mongers

Oh, without a doubt I am better off here than in a Third World Country... but that doesn't mean I need to sit around and be content when my civil liberties are being taken away, the poor are taxed to death while rich croony friends get away with murder. Well, I will look into the Rush Limbaugh thing... I know of a few good quotes. And, as for the ass-raped, that is the price we pay then if another attack happens. I'd rather be safe. And, as someone who was actually in NYC and watched the attacks with my own eyes, I know what it feels like to be attacked. It's not fun.

Tyran-T-Briggs In reply to karkarodon [2006-01-08 17:47:18 +0000 UTC]
You think you're safe!? That truely is funny.
An attack could happen right now. With all of our security checks and searches, our radar and telemetry, we couldn't even keep a puddle jumper out of Presidential Airspace (Area around the white house). I'm surprised Al-Queda, or any other terrorist cell for that matter, hasn't flown a mesely little Boeing private into a government building, flying under radar, weilding an armed Cobalt bomb (or any atomic weapon of choice, mine is the Cobalt Bomb). No matter how much we try, we're always going to be open to an attack of some kind. Can you believe it's a SHOEBOMB?!
π: 0 β©: 1
karkarodon In reply to Tyran-T-Briggs [2006-01-08 19:06:12 +0000 UTC]
I never said we were safe. I fly a lot, and I know how easy it is to get past security. I am simply saying that our current methods of pissing off the world for no reason other than personal glory is NOT the right way to g about it.
Oh, and as to the BIG lies... here are two:
Weapons of Mass Destruction: Powell went infront of the UN and swore that WMD's were in Iraq. Did we find even ONE? Nope. Bush swore it too. [link] Bush said, and i quote: [link] "It (Iraq) possesses and produces chemical and biological weapons.
And the #2 lie: Iraq supported Terrorists.
Bush said: "It has given shelter and support to terrorism" which is a lie. [link] Saddam and Bin Laden hated each other. Bin laden "called on Iraqis to rise up and oust Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, who is a secular leader." Bin Laden has NO love or connection to the Iraq people EXCEPT against America. "Bin Laden called for jihad against Saddam." [link] [link]

"And, as for the ass-raped, that is the price we pay then if another attack happens. I'd rather be safe."
There is no "safe", and no reason to be ass-raped. It would be, dare I say, unconventional to carry a bomb in your anal cavity, and the metal detectors would catch it anyways. It's a gri-gri that is just annoying.
Lie #1: Let's look at this with a more scaled scenario. You have two kilos of uncut, 100% pure, Columbian blow in your sock drawer. You get a phone call from a friend down the road. He tells you that a police officer came to their house- looking for you! What do you do? Do you keep the blow and hope they don't find it when they, under a writ of suspicion, search your home? Do you try to flush it all down your toilet? Fuck no! Realizing you've got about a four minute window, you run the coke over to your neighbor, who likes doing lines with you on saturday nights, and tell him to hold it until you're clear. In other words, the WMDs weren't a lie. A combination of misinformation, distortion, and general bad intel allowed Saddam to get his shit out of the country and into a nice foreign country for storage. My guess is Libya.
Lie #2: You know there are terrorist cells other than Al-Queda. Bin Laden isn't the master ring-leader of all global terrorism. He's just the head of a major group, and is a big name in the headlines. I'll bet you five bucks that says Iraq has indeed hosted at least one terrorist group in the last ten years.

karkarodon In reply to Tyran-T-Briggs [2006-01-09 17:46:53 +0000 UTC]
Oh, it's very possible that Saddam support some terrorists, but the Bush administration said, specifically, that Bin Laden was there. A lie.
As to the blow concept, I personally do not do any drugs, and want drug users/pushers put away. Yes, he may have gotten stuff out of the country, it's POSSIBLE, but the Bush administration said, flat out, that they had them. A lie. And, let's talk about a real threat... North Korea. We KNOW they have weapons, and yet we leave them alone. Why? No oil. No profit. Why do we not get involved in the HORRORS of africa, like Zimbabwei? No profit. It would only be humanitarian, and the Bush administration does nothing for that reason. They went to war in Iraq for PROFIT, and claimed it was to fight terror, etc. Lies.

Tyran-T-Briggs In reply to karkarodon [2006-01-10 11:58:15 +0000 UTC]
1st Point: Most likely bad intel.
2nd Point: Once again, most likely bad intel. We know he HAD WMDs, we sold them to him.
3rd Point: We dealt with NK the same way you deal with a cromie of the dude you just pinned against the wall by the neck: "Back the fuck off and shut up". The reason we don't touch Africa is because the countries are always changing. Borders constantly move, political leaders can change literally overnight. It's chaos, and would just make things worse if we were to get involved.

karkarodon In reply to Tyran-T-Briggs [2006-01-10 15:59:30 +0000 UTC]
So it was bad intel when the CIA and the UN were saying: "They have no WMD's?"
π: 0 β©: 1
Tyran-T-Briggs In reply to karkarodon [2006-01-10 17:21:40 +0000 UTC]
Here's a tip: When quoting, put your punctuation outside of the quote (example: the UN were saying: "They have no WMD's"?), otherwise I get the impression that the UN and CIA were asking the question.
Anyways, aside from the grammar lesson, can you show me a report from the CIA that directly and definitivly states that Iraq possessed NO weapons of mass destruction before we busted in there? And for the UN, we never listen to them anyways.
π: 0 β©: 1
karkarodon In reply to Tyran-T-Briggs [2006-01-10 17:48:23 +0000 UTC]
I do not need a grammer lesson, thank you very much. It was a typo, and if you are going to be like that, just bug off.
As to the CIA, they were sending family members of the Iraqi scientists back to Iraq to investigate, and they all returned saying the scientists were no longer working on WMD's. Years of inspections found nothing.
And just because some dumb hick president doesn't want to respect the U.N. inspectors, that's his choice. I voted against him. I'm done with this conversation. You believe what you want, I'll believe the truth about the last few years.
