Very nice, love the feeling to it. Like a death ray attacking the very fabric of abstractism. Or maybe it's a death ray coming from abstractism destroying reality...

I like the render but the 2d background needs a lot more work. Use the typo sparingly. Definately get rid of the typo along the left side.

Quite awesome - I can see you're still using the same techniques, though. You should try something new! This is a very fantastic wallpaper, however. An awesome "techy" (as you put it) feel, and I really love the atmospheric, space-relativeness. This cricles surrounding the beam do something for me as well - remind me somewhat of an explosion simulated on a computer. Fabulous! One of your best to date. Mega props to Aria for the intricate 3D modelling, and I really love the landform analyzation graph in the top right. Superb!

i love the spacey background of this.
my suggestion for you here is to mess around with the color of the 2d and the typo.
right now all it is is a kinda boring grey color. darken it a bit and spice it up.
you'll notice a world of difference
