The visual hierarchy here is somewhat messed-up. With the border and surrounding elements so detailed, it makes it hard to concentrate on the content of the page.
The borders themselves are fairly well done, though there are definitely areas where mirroring is fairly obvious (which isn't that good for a organic sort of thing). What bothers me more is that there's no transition from the blue of the background to the brown of the border. Perhaps you could have painted on some blue light affecting the organic border, or brought in more blues on the metal it's wrapped around.

besides that very good of course. I love the bg, but it also makes the design-border less 3D in a way, it looks pretty flat, you know?
