Description
The caloties are people who were heavily mutated by the compound known as drip or D-219. It is unknown how people find this compound in the wild though they may find aeternus ruins with drip from the old war, what is known however is that upon 4 minutes of continues exposure to drip the body will begin mutating as well as cause beings to try to connect themselves to items which there skin will fuse to said item on a cellular level.
This is called drip rot other side effects are illusions and insanity where upon mutation completion the caloties will protect and guard the aeternus tomb and use it as a breeding ground.
Side note: the young are immune to drip and show characteristics of the aeternus of which the caloties seem to worship how this correlates is uknown but the drip has been shown to not affect aeterni and instead heal them so this may have been a fast way to multiply themselves during the war( further studying is required)
