Description The cover art for my story "The Beauty and the Monster".

www.fanfiction.net/s/10944747/…

Summary:

The demon Ba'al, whose goal is to prepare the Earth for the Great Invasion from Hell, faces an unexpected problem when the dead woman (whom it had killed to disguise itself in a human body) starts to talk back.

Genre: children horror fiction.
Based on the book: 'The Gates' by John Connolly, all rights belong to him. (And yes, theoretically you can enjoy it even if you haven't read the book).

First 2 chapters uploaded. I'll be uploading the rest as I do the spell-check and editing. The story IS finished, no worries about that. And I have to say I really like the way it turned out.

So, would you like to join me for an evening of… fun?  Just make yourself a nice cup of tea, take some sweets with you and make sure there are no monsters under your bed.

CREDIT:

I love that background. Those wall designs are detailed so well. Especially the lighting. Your colors are easy on the eyes.

Thanks! I love how the background turned out too, although I failed completely at the most important part of the picture - the emotion on Mrs Abernathy's face. It was supposed to be full of wariness and curiosity, and these two are the hardest emotions to draw.( So I failed, her face seems to be just blank.( Well, a good reason to try harder in the future.)) And at least, the background turned out to be exactly what I imagine the Abernathy's house to be like.

I think her expression is just fine. I was more fascinated with the background. It's just so atmospheric.

This picture is so cool and thank you for using my picture really I'm excited.

Is this a digital painting? How do you do that with a graphical tablet?
Anyway, feel free to use everything

^____^ Thank you so so much!!! You are wonderful, so talented and so kind!! I felt a bit guilty for referring your picture without having asked for permission first, it's just the inspiration swept me away and I had this drawing before I realised what I was doing.%)))

Yes, it's a digital painting, done in Photoshop. I picked some colours from your photo to draw the background and referred the shape of the lamps and those rectangular things on the wall (whatever they are called) just by looking at the photo and painting something similar, and I practically traced the stairs with a brush because it was the hardest part to draw.))
