I feel for you
Yet I just wanted to point out that one can't "get depression really often", maybe "I feel blue very often" would've been a more appropriate wording.
I mean real clinical depression isn't just something that comes, and then leaves, and then comes back, and then leaves again, etc. It's not just feeling down some days and feeling good some other days. It's a long-lasting mental illness that affects every single day of a person, mentally and sometimes physically speaking, for months or even years.
I'm very sorry to leave such a comment focusing solely on the description, I don't want to sound mean or annoying at all... But there's this good friend of mine who's on Deviantart too, she is struggling with depression since 2013 I think (the clinical, diagnosed illness, not just "feeling blue from time to time"), and she can't be cured cause no medication is effective on her. I can see and sense how much she suffers inside, whenever we talk or meet... It's been ages since the last time I saw her smile... and lately she's been saying things that make me fear I could lose her at anytime, especially since it would not be her first attempt to leave this world...
Since I know how much she's suffering on a daily basis, I get annoyed and upset when people use the word "depression" to describe occasional sad feelings, because some people are tricked into thinking depression is just feeling blue; and it's a problem for those who have the illness because they tend not to be taken seriously.
As for the artwork itself, it's gorgeous and full of emotion. The composition, mood and lighting are excellent.
What hits me particularly is that she's crying but still tries to smile, as if she wanted to say "It's alright, I'm OK" while she's clearly not OK. She reminds me of my friend, so this hit me hard.
Excellent execution, and excellent way of conveying emotions. Well done. I hope you're feeling better now.

Kawacy,
You know all those celebrities out there, how "perfect" they seem, and how sparkling their lives appear to be? Well, you defy all of those things that I said, and that's not a bad thing, really. I put you in this light because to me, you are a celebrity. Even though I have never seen your face, you are like my idol, someone that I look up to. These things that you share with your many fans; about your depression and your anemia and so much more...it all makes you seem more human, and more like the rest of us. Not like some distant person who we idolize and look up to but could never relate to or possibly contact, because they seem too perfect, and so far away. You hold your fans and admirers close, your friends closer, and your family even more so (or so I have come to believe). Thank you for everything that you have done for me, and the countless others who have had the pleasure of viewing your art, and most of all, thank you, for being the idol that I can reach.Β

Depression comes in many differint way, but there is one thing that everyone feels when having it: when he/she is laying down in bed trying to convince their bodies to get up and do something, but there is something that is holding them back down. I guess the vines supposed to be that thing that holds a person down.
Another thing that some depprestion people do is cry for a while. They will cry for a long time or a short time because of how they think about themselfs.
I'm sorry if this sounds too much sad in one comment

I hope you feel better, everyone is commenting on how amazing this piece is (which it is) but they fail to acknowledge your emotional state. If your feeling down you can talk to me or most of the people down in the comments. I know what depression is something to be talked about and not ignored. If you feel down talk to me.Β

Very, very, very great art! thumbs up for this masterpiece you've done! so amazing with all the details but what makes it have life is the emotions that were put in it well-conveyed
Btw, I can also relate how artists release emotions in drawing, well I often do that too way back in my high school years that's why my classmates often ask me before do I ever get angry? XD little did they know when I feel like releasing strong emotions I draw and draw in my sketchbook till I'm done and after I drew it I feel lighter and calmed down XD
anyways, all of your art is well drawn and conveyed! I love all of your arts Β
