Description I get asked a lot how I do my textures so here's a small tutorial on how I did this piece. It was really very simple to do and has very few layers.
~HanameHime was nice enough to let me use her photo.
Textures are by ~AutumnsGoddess-stox =resurgere stock.xchng

If you have any questions I'll be happy to try and answer them for you, most importantly have fun!

Well give it a try, the more you try using them the more comfortable you'll get with them, you can always delete them if you want.

What do you mean not great? I think it looks wonderful, I love how you changed the castle to make it bigger and the sky looks fantastic! Great job, I've had a terrible time getting anything to look good in that background and you've certainly done that here, congratulations!!

That's a great tut! Textures are a problem for me, thanks for helping out! It was a little unclear about how you actually make them visible, but not opaque, but I kind of figured it out. Thanks!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

kayceeus In reply to Lilabelle [2006-12-18 13:28:10 +0000 UTC]

I do that by changing the mode, usually to soft light or overlay, and by bringing the opacity down. I'm glad it helped you out a little!

Aww thank you! I have been thinking of trying a pen tool tutorial out, I think more people would use it if they had a tut to show them how.

RileyRican In reply to kayceeus [2006-10-18 11:33:55 +0000 UTC]

Oh that would make a great tutorial. I have only used the pen for vectors and never really knew when to use it for other stuff.

The whole family's getting together to pay for it so it'll be the only I get, besides my christmas P.J.'s that I've gotten every year since I was 2, but who cares!
