Description
South Haven, MIAnother duotone from my day in South Haven. I caught a group of friends having a conversation on the pier while waiting for another beautiful sunset off Lake Michigan. I loved how each siloutted figure is unique. Full view is always better.

I've always had bad luck trying to shoot the pier in St. Joseph. It never comes out right. You've captured it beautifully here. This reminds me of all those small lake towns that line the coast; some good summer memories.

Hi there!
We can define friendship has an understanding among 2 or more persons, where there is communication between them and also where thereβs loyalty, even when that same loyalty tells us to hurt our friend with a news that we of all people have to give him/herβ¦ like that his father died, he flunked at school, whateverβ¦ but is also to share, share thoughts, share a shoulder to support the weight of the world that we sometimes feel that have to hold on!... and this image is giving me both feelings, the head down of the person with the bike could be him saying the the one standing that his cat died or that he lied about something and, at the same time, could be him thinking of a way to get out of some problem or planning some weekend all together! Thatβs whatβs wonderful about this photo: the poses of the friends can mean anything!
In a critique attention I have nothing to point wrong. I have only good stuff to say: the sepia tone selection was great, cause it adds drama and that feeling of friendship that lasts⦠The water is fantastic, with all its glittering and most of all, the silh0outes trick do very well in this scene!
Kisses,

these duotone colors are just amaazing... i love this one because how open the sky is and then you come down to a small simple black silhouette of people standing around as normal as can be.
