o0o sweet, would you say Nikon is better then Canon or there both equal? I'm looking into getting a professional camera lol I use my dads digital camera it's okay and all but I think theres a reason why they call professional cameras professional, hah sorry I tend to write novels

so heres the thing, I had a point-and-shoot for like a year, and it depends the kind you have, and how much you're into photography. I've been doing photography for over a year now, and I just got my Nikon this month. But I got a really good one. I am more of a Nikon person, although some people prefer Canon. They're basicallly on the same level, so its up to you. But for you first camera, I would suggest getting a NikonD3000. Its amazing, and relatively cheap for a dSLR.
[its okay, haha I write novels too. ^_^ ]

mhmm well I've been into photography my whole life, use to watch my dad take pictures, he sorta got me into it Thanks a lot, I get mixed reviews from people, personally I've never used a Nikon before so I'll probably try to see if I can get my hands on one and test it out before I look into buying one, around how much would the NikonD3000 cost?

around 500 bucks i think. and definitly test it out.
go to a store and you can play around with them there.
they have them at costco, and best buy, places like that.
but you can't play around with one at costco.
what did your dad have? and which cameras have you tried before?

500 not bad thanks I'll try it out at best buy xXD
My dad has a digital canon sD750, he has multiple cameras actually but the rest are either really old or way to professional for me lol, I'm use to digitals so if I were to get a professional camera it'd have to be digital too.
So I'm kinda naive when it comes to cameras, I've always been into photography been doing it legit for like almost 3yrs but the best camera I've used is the canon sD750 really and the very first boxy digital cameras that came out which really suck so thats basically it.

yeah, just go out and explore! try new cameras, do your research, and whenever you're ready, buy a camera! (: you'll love it! its easy enough for beginners, and professional enough for when you want more control and gain more experience.
