Something Im working on for class, my tablet broke!!! Stupid loose mini usb ports! Also, the envelope and the fire looks pretty lame, any input on how to fix/make it look better would be appreciated![Update] Fixed stuff!

I couldnt get it right and had to turn the assignment in so I took it out. Im going to work on it more and get it right though just for myself lol.

Good brushwork, and the clothing is very well done. If you don't mind me saying, the shadows on her skin don't look quite right. They seem less saturated that the base skin tone, and in my eyedropper wanderings through many photographs and paintings, shadows are always more saturated, not less. Hope that helps.

Thats a great tip, I didnt know that, gonna have to make sure to remember and keep and eye on it! Thanks for the feedback, color is one of my many downfalls lol. I need to do more studies and use the color picker more to note stuff like that. Do you see anything off proportionally?

Her chest (and by that I mean breasts), might be a bit high, but it might also be the perspective that's throwing me off. Is this from imagination or reference? If the latter, proportions are easy enough to check. If the former, the standard measurements are one head length from chin to nipples, nipples to navel, navel to crotch. However, foreshortening is coming into play, so that head length is going to be slightly reduced.

It was partly from life, and partly from a photo I took before I left. I tried to stick to my original and add to it because the photo is slightly different. It does look a bit high though, when I go back in Ill make sure to change that. Thats for the constructive criticism, its helps a lot more than someone just saying they like it, although thats appreciated as well lol

Looks great! I guess for the fire you could try more of a glow effect around the fire and could also put a bit of that glow on the girl. Makes it look more dynamic. :0

I was thinking the same thing about the fire! And I just added highlights to the character and it looks so much better! Cant wait to upload the finished copy!

great concept, i like the story this piece conveys! you could work on it more to get a more realistic look, but i like how it looks currently

Oh yea, Im going to do a lot more work to it, actually Ive already done a lot more to it. My tablet went out on me last night and I just bought another earlier today. And thanks, I was trying to go for something emotive but I didnt have as much time as I thought I did with this assignment so I cant add all the elements I want to! I still hope it turns out alright. Thanks!
