I just finished this one, and I am very happy with it (course I am still in that post-completing art glow
) I really like the composition and I enjoy the colors and how they are placed. I love how the squirrel on the left is eager to get the acorn. The squirrel is very nice to share is secret stash.

hello! sorry for the late reply. Actually i used some brown ink and used a dip pen to apply the ink. I don't remember what tip it was anymore.

Love how you did the leaves sticking up in the snow. makes the picture look so much more 3D.
Composition wise, I think the squirrel on the left, on the log looks a little too much (or maybe it's the darker colour) distracting from the two handling the nuts. (lol nuts! 
Have you tried a snow themed picture with a little more green in the background? Might add some depth in addition to balancing the colours out..
(I really want to watercolour now. doh. So inspired, and so much homework!

Hey! Thanks! I tried to work more green into this one, but you're right, you can't see it. My next one last watercolor was mostly green, and it is amazing the body it adds. I definately keep that up if I can.
Let me know when you do some watercolor work, I'd love to see it!

Thanks for noticing the leaves! I wish I could've put more in there, but it would've looked wierd, it did in my sketches. Squirrels are awesome! I need to go to Olney IL sometime, they have a colony of albino squirrels there!
