Description
Just like I did with Shin , I did a character evolution thingy for Virgule, anthro version of Silence.

1. [link] Silence's first ever design. back then, I designed him to be a Sonadow lovechild. I also based his design on an actualy chao I owned back then! I got the chao from breeding a regular-colored neutral-run-run chao and a white dark-run-run chao, hence why he ended up becoming a Sonadow lovechild. XD So the offspring of the two was a white two-tone chap that I evolved into a dark-run-run chao as well; the final result was amazing, imagine [link] but with white stripes instead of yellow I should take a pic one day~ Hence why this first desig had white parts. Apart from that, he was supposed to have been created genetically and not have a mouth for whatever reason, so that's why I named his Silence.

2. Buuuut screw logical names, you can't roleplay with characters that doen't have mouths! XD So, this is the first full body pic of Silence I did; notice the human-like feet. I also got rid of the red stripes because they made Silence way too recolory.

3. [link] Soon Silence got tired of being naked so Marie gave him some clothes . I used them for a while. I'll also say that around there, Silence's personality was very lame, he was "serious" and "cool". Basically a Shadow rip-off.

4. [link] A little later, Sil became happier and started his degeneration into dumb. XD I also changed his pants a little so they weren't like Marie's. The necklace he's wearing contained spirits he exorcised form Sonny's body by the way. With time, Silence sort of lost his powers over darkness and souls. >.>;

5. [link] Now this was the last Sonicy design I had for Silence and still the one I'd use if I ever draw him in a Sonicy style again, Back then, silence was a very fun and social guy, often getting along with people even if he was perverted and annoying at times. He stil pretty much has the same personality today.

6. #21 of [link] XD.This is pretty much the first time I draw Silence as an anthro; at the time I only wanted to try a different art style, not completely change my designs. XD But that was my first try at making Silence into a non-Sonic thing.

7. Now THAT was when I started to seriously try to redesign my characters. This one is basically still the same Sonicy Silence but with an anthro hedgehog head and human proportions. I actually quite like his face shape there, but it was still very Sonicy ad wasn't satisfied with it.

8. [link] A variation of 7. XD I changed his face shape and tried finding a logical way to color him. >.> The face shape and furriness really didn't fit Silence very well and I was getting sick of him being a hedgehog since he didn't have any conection to Sonic or Shadow anymore, sooo...

9. Silence then became a meerkat. XD I changed his clothes a bit and finalized his fur pattern. I was really happy with the design, but with some help from =fyuvix I realized his face shape was very lame so then...

10 I redid his face, taking into account his personality traits and everything. He now (hopefully) looks sillier and and more annoying. By then, I had also officially changed his name to Virgule. "virgule" is french for a "coma"; "," XD But Virgule is only a nickname he likes to be called because his actual name is Virgil and that doesn't sound as cool as he claims to be.

11. This is more or less his final design so far! His pants are now rolled up to his knees and his underwear is showing so that he looks totally cool and stuff. XD I still have some things to tweak (mainly his clothes), but that's not too imprtant for now~

Nowdays Virg is still a fun guy and he's still very social, enjoying parties and spending time with people. He loved to pretend he's a really cool and popular guy amongst his circle of friend, but he's too dorky and annoying to ever be. Apart from that, he enjoys fliriting with people, but he can be pushy at times, trying to coax people into doing things like going to a party with him. XD I guess Silence is also kind of a loser, he's not studying in anything and he doesn't have a job, probably still lives in his mom's basement or something.

I also like how he got uglier and uglier with time.
