Description
"Attrition" is one of 12 paintings for my upcoming solo show, "Cognitive Dissonance" opening May 3rd, 2013 at Subtext Gallery in San Diego, California. I think it spread because it looks cool but the only legend I could think it loosely relates to is the wendigo.

The trails of blood from the arrows are so creepy (in a good way). I actually like how simple and clean they are - it makes me imagine the blood coming out in a slowww, thick, dribble. Like an ooze. For some reason, that's creepier to me than if you had painted the blood spilling in big puddles. I mean all this in a very positive way.
