I have no idea if it will work at all.
Maybe I'm wrong and it will never work.

I have no engineering education, so it's just my imagination.
Since the gas pressure is the same in all directions, but the force depends on the surface area, the rotor must rotate in the direction of the larger area.

Gas compression occurs outside the engine itself, outside its chambers.
The compressor can be activated both by the rotor, and by the exhaust gases (turbocompressor, turbocharger).

The division of the motor into chambers is quite abstract and is the same as the division in the Wankel engine - provided by seals at the sharp ends of the rotor.
Combustion chambers can be cooled by radiators that are part of the engine housing (not shown in the animation).
