This will be the third posted request for this week. It's that of Mickey Mouse (owned by Disney)!

Mickey needs little to no explanation. He's one of the most iconic, recognizable, and loveable characters in all of fiction (if not, of all time). He made his worldwide public debut in the animated short, Steamboat Willie (along with Minnie Mouse, whose not included in the drawing), which was released in the late 1920s. Despite Steamboat Willie being his first public appearance, however, Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks (the people behind Mickey's creation) produced a film shortly before called, "Plane Crazy". Along with this, Mickey's silhouette is too iconic to the point where you can draw three basic circles to resemble his head, and anyone would be able to point out that it's him. He's appeared in a vast number of animations, television shows, games, movies, all consisting of various genres, he has decades upon decades worth of merchandise, he's appeared in various live performances, and he's owned by a multibillion dollar company. One of the most popular companies of all time.

Mickey's design in the drawing is based on his look from the family-friendly television show, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. This show was a small part of my childhood. I enjoyed the cast of characters, the look of the clubhouse itself, Toodles, who was capable of spawning conveniently needed tools out of nowhere, and that ~~theme song~~. I also kept the detail in the drawing where Mickey's ears are always facing the viewer regardless of the direction his head is facing. The sparkles coming from his index finger are a homage to the ~magical~ aesthetic Disney presents with its wide variety of content. Lastly, unlike the Brittany Boviak & Cream the Rabbit drawings I posted that have a black background, this drawing has a dark grey background to help the shades of black stand out.
