Description
I shot this while was shooting her for a set for OnlyPaperDolls [link] . (We werenβt really supposed to be in there, but we "took only pictures and left only footprints"..hehe... Stealth photography) I sort of flitted around in the background taking candids, etc. I came out with a couple that I really liked, and this is one of them. Another is here: [link](If you like this, you can see more from the shoot in his gallery, too)
Edit:
FYI, On *my* monitor, the background behind her is all black. I've seen this image on a few other computers and it looks lighter or darker depending... For those of you who may be able to see the wall - please ignore it. I don't want to darken the image any more, as it looks just as I want it on my screen...

Cool shot. However, your solution is either PANTONE or work with your brightness all the way up - fool with levels - then bring them back down. On a properaly calibrated monitor the background is quite visible. PANTONE makes some excellent and in some cases very inexpensive calibration solutions. If you have any version of Photoshop, it also comes with a software calibration feature, where you eyeball it (still works rather well.) If you don't have Photoshop, ...Get it. Now. Elements is around $99 new, and the Pantone spyder runs around the same. If you can't afford that, there are yet other solutions to try (or other ways to obtain said software).
As for the photo, it's well-composed, exposed and posed! The color is actually very well-balanced, and appropriately warm. I like it a lot. I just want to level out the background to solid black, being the nitpicky nut I am. Hope I don't sound condescending, just trying to help x_X

what beauty, and the reflection of it as well.....I like the fact that you can only faintly see her body in the background, draws the attention to the face.
