There is this battle ship in Bordeaux, always here, just for the deco, and it's quite interesting to see people seeing it as a touristic attraction, taking photos with the Colbert behind them, saying "what a beautiful thing"... i only see it as a praise of war...well anyway, here is a little photo of it, colors and contrast adjusted

Moi aussi, je passe otut les jours devant, franchement, voir les superbes valeurs militaires inscrites sur des portes grises, c'est pas mon trip, par contre, j'adore ta photo, surtout au niveau des nuages et des couleurs. PIs c'est pas tout les jours qu'on tombe sur une photo de Bordeaux par hazard

when i was in bordeaux this year , i saw it too (inescapable).
i asked myself : "is this a motif" .... no !
war is never a motif

very well taken! and the tones are beautiful, too - i love brown/blueish contrasts anyway...
i think it would be perfect if those light blue tones would reappear softly in the sky as well.

It's funny... noone ever wants to offer any kind of praise for war... i understand its a bad thing, that people die... but war is a necessary evil... like satan... without war... perhaps the southern states of my country may still have slavery ? ... or every jewish person may have been slaughtered and hitler may have been allowed to conquer the world ? I know maybe this makes no sense... but just a thought... i was in the military for 8 years.. and fought in Iraq... War is an ugly thing, i agree... But as ugly as it is... i cant deny the fact that it is sometimes necessary... Of course i dont believe the war that i fought in was a noble... but there have a been a few that have been in the history of the world... and i honestly believe thats a maxim...

Simply stunning... even though it represents war that has been it is still stunning, not because of the ship itself but the way you've captured it, the composition and lighting and colour make it simply stunning.
