Description
Last week a college I applied for to get onto a Computer game design and animation course sent me a letter for an interview. It asked for a portfolio of work including a 3d model. So in an effort to fine tune my 3D modelling I decided to have a go at the Iowa class, a concept by Ryan Church which subsequently became the Kelvin. She has taken two full days to complete. She is my first Star Trek ship and she will be released to the pubic once some tweaks have been made.
Made in 3DS max 9, textures in Photoshop.

I love it! Better than the Kelvin in my humble opinion, sir.

Yeah I can't understand why they changed Ryan Church's design so much that only the original shape remained.

Get a 3d program and get on it. It may take a whilst but the results are worth it.

Blender is free and quite an intuitive program. There is plenty of stuff out there to get you started.
