Description
Dalek Week 2015 Day 1: Song."How do you measure, measure a year?
In day lights, in sunsets
In mid nights, in cups of coffee
In inches, in miles
In laughter, in strife"
This was an idea I wanted to use for a fanfic many years ago (in other words, the year I joined this fandom) full of drabbles which are mostly Dalek. I just remembered it since the theme was "Song". Seasons of Love was an amazing song, so I decided to use it for this event.
I would have finished the drawing, but that would mean I missed Day 1 here.
Alek and Deryn and the Leviathan Trilogy belong to Scott Westerfeld.
Dalek Week is a yearly event held by
Seasons of Love belongs to Rent the musical
Art and materials belong to me

Thank you so much! I didn't get to add any shading or any details but I really did my best. I'm glad to be participating in Dalek Week. It's the first time joining!

Fifth? That's amazing. Good to see your love for this ship is unwavering. C: I've actually known this group for a while now. I only managed to submit this year because I'm finally not busy. Also because one of my themes was used.

Yup, been here since the first one.
Proud to be an annual participant, even if I don't get to all the days every time.
Gotcha! I'm so happy you have time for this year's.

I don't remember how long I've been following this fandom and I don't remember when I joined the group, but I do know that I love this ship as much as the next person to submit. C:
Also, I missed day 2. TT_TT My first Dalek week and I already missed a day.
The reason I was unable to join the previous years was because school here started June. Now that my school starts July, I have time to participate! ^^

I got two easy time periods: Did you read the series before or after Goliath was available?
Gotcha gotcha. Why did they change the start date?

I...don't know... In 2011 I remember seeing Behemoth get stocked in shelves in this bookstore. I started reading about 2012-ish. Not too sure. Maybe late 2011. I got all three within a three-to-six month period.
Our country hasn't quite conformed to the K-12 curriculum. We just implemented it recently and our Department of Education wants to shift the schedule to conform with other nations. Our school is taking the shift gradually by shifting one month at a time per school year. Next year I might not be available, or maybe I might be.

Eh, close enough. I read the first two during the summer of 2011, just in time to join the fandom in anticipating Goliath and participate in the first Dalek Week!
ah icic. Interesting. How was your schedule before then? June to March??

I was almost done with Goliath when I found out about Dalek Week but I hadn't joined the group. Like a month or two passed since that Dalek Week and I was upset that I missed it.
Yeah, sometimes until April. Now it's gonna be from July to April or May, plus one month of summer classes...

Gotcha. ^^ Hmm, yeah, I'm not sure how we decided on the timing for that. Man, that was a while ago. o3o
I see... was that based on the weather/seasons?

Now I'm trying my best to check out the dates of Dalek Week so I could join. But each time I looked at the dates, I notice that I'm busy. :C
My school is adjusting to the curriculum. And I'm in college so I have summer classes which are REQUIRED FOR MY MAJOR. Maybe I just picked a crappy school.

I think it varies every year.
That's unfortunate. =3=
Ah, gotchu. That does indeed suck. >w< Most people tend to take general ed classes over summer.

Yeah it does, and I find that kind of funny. Like, once it was April, then May or June. I was surprised that there is no constant date.
I don't choose my schedule, which really stinks. I don't want summer classes, but the school gave me a schedule. Like, UGH!!!

I think we have yet to find a date that works best for everyone.
Boo hiss. They chose my first semester schedule for me, but that's about it.

We're about to conform to international schedules anyway so I guess soon most of us will have the same available dates.
I kind of wish I could pick my schedule, but since I'm not irregular, my schedule was chosen for me. It's kind of annoying.

Sorcaron In reply to killahsese [2015-06-22 05:22:45 +0000 UTC]
Mhmm. Hopefully so!
You're not irregular? What does that mean? o3o Do they choose your schedule for you for the duration of the entire program?

killahsese In reply to Sorcaron [2015-06-23 03:18:50 +0000 UTC]
I hope we all get a universal schedule!
A student is irregular if they have taken certain courses but have failed, are required to repeat, or simply take up other courses. This applies to transferees, those who change their majors, or those who have failed some classes. From what I heard they can choose their schedule, but I don't really know what they do. And yes, the school chooses my classes throughout the entirety of my desired program. Kind of a bummer, right?

That would be convenient!
Huhh, that's odd. So you don't get to choose your schedule at all?
