Towards the end of 2019 I finally discovered The Beatles' animated show.Half of it is animated sing-alongs of their songs, the other half... is the four of them going around having wacky adventures.
...Personally, that shit is more trippy and out of this world than theΒ Yellow Submarine movie.
I mean that film was just a surrealist story with the Beatles' songs being used, the fucking animated show is SO unreal, it's as if one day they went "Hey guys, listen... how about we become Hannah-Barbera characters?"
The cartoon seriously feels like a giant shitpost... and it's glorious, it's a MASSIVE meme goldmine.
And it was the first animated show based on a band, dunno if that's a good thing, but there's that. In terms of meme potential, that cartoon was lightyears ahead of its time lol
In the show Ringo is basically the dumbass butt monkey, he makes painful puns, and usually Lennon (who's the Alvin-like leader) mocks him, tho every other member of the band isn't shy from mocking Ringo whenever he does something idiotic, and usually he just replies with a terrible dad joke, makes a Goofy-like laugh topped with a "Yee..."
Personally in the show I couldn't help but think that Ringo kinda sounds like Montgomery Burns if he were a stoned hippie lmfao

I saw it as a kid in 2005-2006. Looking back it's not that good of a product, but it was okay to sit through as a kid, at least it was colorful and looked cute enough.

Eh, not really lol Even though what he says isn't wrong, like 98% ofΒ Italians don't care how other countries call our cities because we tend to do the same thing with many cities, for instance, we say "Londra" instead of London and "Parigi" instead of Paris.
Though, I wouldn't be surprised if Ghiaccio also bitches about Italian titles like "Un mostro a PARIGI!?? ...But the story is set in Paris, France, why aren't they calling the capital city with its correct native name?? If you think the (WELL THAT FUCKING AGED WELL) was bad, there's a scene in HELP! (one of the live action ones) when John has a gun shot at him but it doesn't go off.
Yellow Submarine was one of my favorite movies as a kid and the title track has always been one of my favorite Beatles songs (along with Eleanor Rigby)
Love the juxtaposition of the two Ringo styles, he's always been my favorite Beatle.
They were gonna remake Yellow Submarine in the technique that was used in Polar Express at one point but after Mars Needs Moms tanked, that project (thankfully) died.
