We were just driving along when all of a sudden these hills started jumping up around us... they were pretty ordinary, apart from this amazing tussock grass that grew in clumps all over them.I thought it was pretty cool, hope you do to.

With different lighting this could have been magnificent. You needed the early morning or late evening sun to bring out the beauty.

To be honest, it's not really doing much for me. I find it hard to see/take photos of landscapes that remain as enchanting as they were in real life. Later they just seem boring.
The photo seems quite underexposed... sorta dark on the whole... perhaps adjusting the levels could fix that?
I'm also wondering how/why at f/14 you've got that blurry bit of grass up front. Did you put the camera really close to the ground to take this?

hmm, I see what your saying 'bout the first bit. Landscapes aren't always the most interesting photo.
It's interesting what you said about it being dark, cause I get those comments sometimes, but on my screen they seem fine, or maybe it's just the way i perceive things. ^^
I'm not sure about the blur... I was standing up to take this... the only thing I can think of is that at 12mm, those bushes were actually very close...
