Description Here's a reclaimed lights-and-sounds MP5 I picked up the other day at a thrift store. The electronics were busted so I decided to do a quick and easy prop...almost no additional attachments. The only thing I slapped on there was the leather grip, paracord and athletic tape. The stock grip on an MP5 is so smooth and boring....

I love the dirty metal effect you gave it

You would be very useful to a theater or movie group.  This would work fine on screen or stage.  As a prop man, I specialized in swords and armor.  So easy if you are into it!

I love making these things. I always keep my eyes open to see if they show up in a fan film or comic-con pictures, but I haven't seen anything yet. Maybe the next Mad Max movie? LOL

I am a huge Judge Dredd fan and I am currently reading every one of them online.  These weapons of yours belong in Mega City One!

Thanks, that's high praise! I've always enjoyed Dredd...even the Stallone movie...One of these days I'm going to make a lawgiver of some kind. The nice thing is that there are a lot of 3D models already online, so that will save me a crapload of time modeling my own.

I'm sorta wondering how I could make those shoulder guards.  Not a bad Halloween idea at all.  The helmet might be tough.  The best way would be to use lost wax aluminum pouring, but that may be beyond my attention span.  All that trouble for one night a year?  I'd have to at least wear it to church every now and then.

They would talk of you for years to come. "Hey, remember when that nice policeman came to church?"

My brother has been working on something similar (not a costume) but is using PLA instead of wax. Interesting process

I have been looking through cosplay stuff and I don't see what I like.  I don't have costumed fun anyway.
