“well neither do you, rat bastard!”

vel has always been a troubled kid. he’s never been afraid of testing the waters with those he deems “in-his-way.” for most of his life, vel has had trouble conveying how he feels. and he has big feelings. and the way he tends to communicate that tends to be by yelling, hissing and snarling. and his parents have always had a hard time understanding what to do about that.

in another circle, canis has also always had a hard time trying to say how he feels. and growing up, he never really was able to get them out in an easy way. but after a bad incident, he managed to get himself grounded again. he realized how hurt he made everyone around him during his bad periods. so canis found other ways to handle himself, and picked up his bad attitude and sought to make a change.

when canis heard about vel’s behavior, he was angry. he was pissed that this little colt had the audacity to do as he did. so one day, he thought he might spend some time with vel and talk him into some sense. ya know, like stallions should handle things. with their words.

“does it make you feel like a big stallion!?” hooves pounded on the ground. “making everyone around you worry?” the stone colored pegasus’ fangs bared animalistically. he snapped his maw at velocity’s dark neck, only narrowly evading the fangs.

velocity’s forelegs danced around canis’s muscled body. barely an inch from getting nicked by the older equine. “you have no idea how i feel! you don’t understand anything that im going through!” vel screamed, trotting around in the dust and lunging at canis’s flank.

a quick bat of a blue wing, and vel tumbled back. stumbling, he choked on the earth that washed into his mouth during the fall. “i have no idea!?” canis spat, turning quickly and stomping at the earth. “i’ve got hairs on my head older than you, boy. i’ve lived through more than you ever have, and hurt more than you’d ever know. and yet you have the audacity to accuse me of not understanding how it feels to be misunderstood!?”

sharp forelegs fell downwards. “you have no right to hurt others just because you are in pain. so be the adult you claim to be, and grow up!”
