Description
A remake of one of my Kaiju; Epsilon! An electrical alien beast that could be arguably considered Cryothys' arch-enemy. More developments in the series to come!Epsilon and Chronicles of Cryothys belongs to me! Please do not use without my permission.

He looks a lot bigger and heavier than his previous design... more like he uses brawn and brute force rather than speed and agility to take down enemies

Thanks! A little more heavy-set, but still plenty faster and more maneuverable than the other kaiju. He's still more-so focused on speed, but this new version can handle himself better in a tight, close corner situation for sure.

That’s pretty cool though.. I feel like the ability to brawl it out in tight spaces might be quite useful in the street canyons of big cities...
He’s now less of a cavalry-type that just kinda overruns his opponents and more of a fast attack type that still relies on speed but also has the brawn to take out enemies in close quarter combat
Is he still the same size or did you size him up?
Also, would you mind if I did some fanart of your Kaiju?

Yup, the whole package! And he's still able to weasel in and out between buildings. He remains the same size for now, but as I re-work the series he may change in size (give or take only a couple feet of course, so it wouldn't be anything significant).

What I do first when designing a Kaiju is to look at all the different Kaiju archetypes: Saurian, Arthropod, Alien, Mammalian, Doppelganger, Serpentine, Flier, Robot (which could also apply to Doppelganger, like in the case with Mechagodzilla), Mythical/Spiritual, Cephalopod, Mineral/Rock, and Other (which would likely include Earth-based Monsters that don't necessarily fall into any of the previous categories such as Destoroyah, Biollante, the MUTOs, Irys, etc.), and then see what has and hasn't been done.
Cryothys = Saurian
Gigaroon = Arthropod
Epsilon = Alien
Posstrox = Mammalian
Baelock = Mythical/Spiritual
Quarastrah = Mineral/Rock
Hydrak = Other
I haven't seen anybody ever come up with a Whip Scorpion kaiju, and thus, Gigaroon was born. Same goes for Hydrak. But this is all just a general idea of coming up with kaiju ideas. It can make for a tough universe to come up with a set story. On the other hand, the Nemesis Saga has a sort of set rule for its kaiju; all of them are derived from alien breeds employed by the Aeros; an alien race. A similar rule applies to the kaiju of Pacific Rim; all alien creatures from an alternate dimension that are all clones of each other, albeit with obvious physical differences here and there.
Whatever you do though, I'm sure you'd be able to come up with something if you're truly passionate about kaiju. That's what pushes me to continue with Chronicles of Cryothys. Exploring all sorts of niches while still keeping the nostalgia of the kaiju archetypes.
