Description
My Newest Roster. Please Critique my character choices, but allow me to defend some of the common complaints."Whaaat? Why so many Mario and Pokemon characters?"
Mario is a ridiculously huge and important series. There is no reason it doesn't deserve 6 characters. Pokemon is almost as huge, and also deserves 6 characters. Be glad I didn't also throw in E. Gadd, Waluigi and Mewtwo, all of whom I seriously considered for this roster.
As a side note, if a 3rd Gen Pokemon game gets remade between now and SSB4, either Lucario or Meowth will be removed for Deoxys(Or some other 3rd Gen Pokemon). The same is true of Victini if there is a 6th Gen game.
"But you have 7/8/9/11/12 Mario characters! And/Or You have 8 Pokemon characters!"
False. Donkey Kong is so much not a Mario character, and that is even more true of Diddy and Dixie, who, by the way, are one character that transforms. The same is true of Pokemon Trainer, and, for that matter, Samus/ZSS, Zelda/Sheik, and Young/Goron/Deku/Zora Link. Yoshi is the Mario Spinoff character least distanced from the main series, but he still classifies under a different symbol, and as such, a different series.
"Diddy & Dixie is lame! Where's K. Rool?"
Diddy & Dixie together represent a MAJOR aspect of the original Donkey Kong Country Trilogy(Ignoring the putrid festering pile of blugh that is DKCR); that is, the tag-team concept, which in SSB, would be utilized much like a combination of Ice Climbers and Zelda/Sheik.
Also, instead of using Down B to switch, they use down taunt, to keep both of them at 4 real special moves.
As for K. Rool, have you ever realized just how dull he would be? He would bring nothing new to the table, and he'd probably just be an amalgam of Bowser and Wolf, with not really unique B moves(The best moveset I've seen for him is a Boomerang just like Link's, a Jumping Stomp just like Dedede's, the boring ol' Blunderbuss and a Recovery just like ROB's.).
"Where did Ganondorf go?"
Ganondorf was not in the newest Zelda game, and factually, he is A: Less Recurring, B: Less Important and C: Less conceptually fun to play as than Ganon, his Beastly Blue Boar form.
"Sakurai said Villager/Ridley/Whoever wasn't feasible because blah blah blah"
This roster is not based around Sakurai's idiocy, it is a rational, thought-out roster, more of who deserves to be included- although some are chosen out of pure fun potential. It's more like... what I would do if I were in charge, y'know?
"Louie-"
Stop right there. Before you proceed, you should know that Louie's moveset would not use Pikmin; it would be entirely based around his status as King of Beasts and ability to manipulate them, using the many cool and varied Pikmin Enemies to fight.
"Oh. That actually sounds really cool!"
Not to mention that Pikmin 3 has been confirmed to be coming on Wii U.
"Really? Oh man, I totally didn't realize Louie would be so awesome!"
"Slime is not worthy because-"
Shut up. Just shut up. Shut your friggin' pie hole you idiot. And get out of my face.
That should be all the more common complaints, so go ahead and ask questions, and all that jazz.

Diddy and Dixie transform?
I rather have them work together like the ice climbers

Would've preferred Mewtwo to Lucario. Ditch Lucas, Falco and Wolf; they're Luigified versions of Ness and Fox.
The Diddy/Dixie idea is really cool though!
