In my head I was done by this stage, but looking at the 'finished' product? No, there's more to do. Going to add aluminum accents to the stock and the grip, maybe throw in some more Hazard Yellow, put on a bit more real metal fodder, age it a slight bit more, and maybe give it a better red than the one it has- and more of it. i'm generally a fan but i think the front vertical grip isn't quite the right shape and hte stock is too plank-like. Β however i think this is a wonderful idea and nobody's done anything quite like it yet

Both wood pieces are being fleshed out for the final version, but to a level they are kind of supposed to look like planks; they were scavenged in the post-apocalyopse Siberian wasteland and attached to replace broken metal original parts from the basic standard issue Ukrainian rifle.

It's a FuryFire. Fun gun, though not particularly powerful or practical.

I love it how it is, but I know what it's like when you get to this stage and you're looking at it thinking 'it just needs X'. It's like some cool parallel universe tommy gun.

That was my thought, too, yeah. There's for sure more to do, and a lot of it's done... I just need to finish weathering, finish detailing, and find a way to get Cyrillic lettering on the stock. That last one's the hard part... I suck at decal work, it's always been my very weakest link. Never successfully done one, but this piece requires it for the look I want so I'm stalled out until I can get it right.

If you're going for a Russkie vibe, i'd be tempted to roughly carve a Cryllic slogan in the stock.

The wood's as rounded as it's gonna get; it's supposed to look a little slapdash since in the mythos it was cobbled on later to replace the original metal pieces which broke off during the Chernobyl Plant Explosion.
And, yep, still fires Nerf darts. I prefer using Whistlers but everything else works just fine as well.

I'm going to say you need some signage, or maybe symbol element on the buttstock. If this is Russian inspired, why not add something archaically Russian like the star or maybe the sickle/hammer. Why I know that would make it outdated, we can all agree that a symbolic reference can help define the character of an item. just my two cents. beautiful work as always regardless

That looks pretty great, but not really feeling the Russian Post-Apocalypse "vibe" of it, though... Makes me think of some make-shift weapon from Fallout 3 and New Vegas though
