Description
Monstrous snake people who appear in the Kull story are apparently also mentioned by CAS and HPL which likely makes them a more generalised Mythos concept. In order to associate them with Yig I have them a bit similar skulls although with less developed supraorbital crests. I also decided to give it very elongated limbs and torso to make it look even more serpentine.EDIT. It appears I have nailed their description from "The Seven Geases" even before I read this story.
"For as he watched, Tu's face became strangely dim and unreal; the features mingled and merged in a seemingly impossible manner, Then, like a fading mask of fog, the face suddenly vanished and in its stead gaped and leered a monstrous serpent's head!"Β
Robert E. Howard, The Shadow KingdomΒ
"(...) and he came anon to the spacious caverns in which the serpent-men were busying themselves with a multitude of tasks. They walked lithely and sinuously erect on pre-mammalian members, their pied and hairless bodies bending with great suppleness. There was a loud and constant hissing of formulae as they went to and fro."
Clark Ashton Smith, The Seven Geases

Nice job. I like that it has a more serpentine shape than the typically humanoid with a snakehead on it.

Great holes secretly are digged where earth's pores ought to suffice,
and things have learnt to walk that ought to crawl.

Hmm not the most fitting quote for they have walked when our ancestors used to crawl.

Maybe the quote was theirs, and it was us they're talking about!

Way back when, I had a design similar to this. Except the reason why yours is better is because said design is still in my head. . . .I haven't brought it to the Material World [not drawn it], yet. Once again, another fantacular work.

:-D I saw only Mario-related parody videos back then. The Legend of Zelda games weren't part of my childhood.

In Poland these weren't really that popular but some other things were and the quotes from these were used. I especially like the "You Must Die" even had this set as an SMS sound for some time back then XD

This one really does have a lot of the Snake Element to it. Β No mistaking this one for a lizard-man. Β
Been a while since you last did Yig, but that I'll attribute to you getting him how you wanted. Β

Ooh! I love this take! When CAS described the serpent men (which hopeulfully you will see soon) he emphasized the serpentine shape. I love how you captured that! Makes them less lizard men and more snake men.
Admittedly, the tail looks slightly awkward due to its length, but otherwise this is fantastic.
CAS mentioned the serpent men in a couple of stories, and... If I remember correctly, I think HPL mentioned them in "The Haunter of the Dark".
