As if actual weasels weren't enough snake-likeΒ xP I have dreamt of this weird hybrid/ futuristic evolution.
The creature had an extremely flexible skeleton and its limbs atrophied till they looked as small pointy stumps. The creature was my pet in this dream.:3One of several weird evolved weasels from my dreams.Β

So... like a slowworm (had to look the english name up, hope that is correct), but evolved from a weasel instead of a lizard? Can't see anything against that, especially as it has the additional advantage of fluffiness.

I'm getting vibes of the cattails from A World Out of Time by Larry Niven. Descendants of the modern housecat which had either naturally evolved or been bioengineered into possessing serpentine anatomy. The ultimate mousers. Just an ordinary feline head connected to a disproportionately enlarged feline tail instead of a conventional feline body as seen pictured here on the book's cover.
