I don't draw much from movies anymore.. still this is probably the most classic monster design and I had to pay a tribute to it..Giger died 12th of May two years ago.

I think it was to be expected since I picked up move creatures again.
The facehugger will come eventuallly.

Nice. I like the original creature much better than all the cannon fodder bug xenomorphs from the sequels. Very eerie mix of man and monster.
Not much I can say without just talking about the movie, the creature, or Giger. Just a very good picture which captures the creature perfectly. I agree that your attempts at drawing creatures from your imagination are better than movie fan art, but your movie monsters look good too.

Huh, I'm surprised you didn't draw it sooner. It looks nice, but its pose is a little too rigid looking.

You may be right. I'd probably draw it sooner but I draw very little from movies. I prefer to explore my own ideas than redraw something already invented.
