Always loved griffins. I remember seeing one in the Golden Voyage of Sinbad. They also had them in the Sam Neill TV miniseries Merlin.

It's one of my favorite Harryhausen creatures. That and the Hydra from Jason and the Argonauts.

Oh. Thank you for sharing. If I had some favorites, they'd be:
Dragon (7th Voyage of Sinbad)
Ceratosaurus (One Million Years BC)
Griffin (Golden Voyage of Sinbad)
Saber-toothed cat (Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger)
Hydra (Jason and the Argonauts)
Dioskilos (Clash of the Titans)
Terror bird (Mysterious Island)

The two halves look great... just there seems to be a size difference. Like... what if it eats something the size its head can manage, but its stomach is too small?
Good job on the wings! (I think you left out the word "draw" in your edit)

I thought your previous Griffin looked spectacular. But this one looks awesome too. This one has a stronger emphasis on the avian characteristics, which is always interesting to see in griffins. This one looks particularly sharp and swift.
And great to hear about more mythological and legendary creatures! Greek mythology is great and all, but there are countless other mythologies around the world full of fascinating gods, heroes, and monsters.

Thanks, I think it's pose contributes to the more avian look. Also several more mythical bird-like animals will follow soon.

Excellent! I always loved birds and avian monsters, and I believe you do a great job at them. Perhaps because pterosaurs are like avian reptiles somewhat. XP
Will you attempt another Simurgh? I feel like she can be interpreted in interesting ways.
