Description
The fungoid denizens of Pluto. The wings are sort of small, as they wreen't suupposed to be very effective in our atmosphere. I really like how it tuned out.
"They were pinkish things about five feet long; with crustaceous bodies bearing vast pairs of dorsal fins or membraneous wings and several sets of articulated limbs, and with a sort of convoluted ellipsoid, covered with multitudes of very short antennae, where a head would ordinarily be.... As it was, nearly all the rumours had several points in common; averring that the creatures were a sort of huge, light-red crab with many pairs of legs and with two great bat-like wings in the middle of their back..."

What about the humanoid white mi-go yetis whose spores were brought by this subspecies from yuggoth because, due to their lack of wings, couldn't traverse the void? Nobody has ever drawn those mi-go.

I like your imagining of the Mi-Go; it's like a weird amalgam of earthly insects and moths.

I guess they are quite adapted to their supposed environment. They look like crustaceans (And Yuggoth was mentioned to have underwater cities) and they have no eyes, as it's so far from the sun they'd be useless.

This is so awesome. The simple elegance of the black and white drawings only enhances the faithful imagery and make these beings seem terrifyingly possible. Absolutely fantastic.

widzę że polubiłeś te Belzebuby - jak nie mucha, to komar
Pragnę jednak zauważyć, że w opisie elipsoida była zwinięta(stąd porównanie do mózgu), no ale z tą "szyszką" wygląda rzeczywiście obco - już słyszę to potworne brzęczenie "Iä! Shub-Niggurath!".

Może nie do końca zgodne z opisem, ale taka głowa jest najbardziej kluczowym elementem ich wyglądu w mojej wizji. Zawsze sobie wyobrażam fale drgań przebiegające po tych czułkach gdy coś "bzyczą"

jedno nie zaprzecza drugiemu; jednakże jak dotąd nie widziałem na stronie w pełni poprawnej wizji łebka, a twoja wizja wypada - jak dla mnie - najlepiej.
Zastanawia mnie tylko ta moda na ogony Mi-Go, bo gdzie okiem sięgnąć, same ogoniaste sztuki - czy to na tej stronie, czy to na Wikipedii, po prostu wszędzie. Zapewne bierze się to od ogólnego porównania do skorupiaków(nie tylko krabów), a większość tych zwierząt ma ogony.

dla mnie Mi-Go kojarzyły się co najwyżej z homarami lub krewetkami. Argumenty antykrabowe:
- Tuż przed opisem Mi-Go Lovecraft napisał, że ,,zwłoki te nie były ludzkie, lecz podobne rozmiarem i ogólnym zarysem"
- Krab chodzący na ostatniej parze nóg głupio by wyglądał
- Krab byłby - jak na 1,5 metra długości - zbyt szeroki, aby przebrać się za człowieka(tu trzeba właśnie podłużnego, smukłego ciała)

Czy ja wiem? Są też gatunki krabów o mniej szerokim ciele. [link] Rozważałem zastosowanie włąsnie takiego modelu jako podstawy mojego Mi GO ale ostatecznie wyszło jak wyszło. Krab chodzący na wszystkich parach nó potrafi głupio wyglądać
a co do sotatniego to tu mam najwięcej zastrzeżeń, bo on niezupełnie przebrał się za człowieka... Siedział nieruchomo w fotelu poowijany kocami czy cyzmś tam i ruszał tylko ustami i dłońmi. Pozatym Mi-Go mogli sędowolnie chirurgicznie przerabiać. Jeśli ich krewni zrobili z siebie Yetich to....

Bardzo dokładna ilustracja, świetnie wygląda! A najstraszniejsze jest to, że właściwie nie ma w nich nic magicznego. Dziwna rasa owadokrabów z Plutona, opierająca się na zaawansowanej technologii i medycynie. Niezwykłe, straszne i prawie logiczne.

I doubt it... Wouldn't they wear them during assault on akeley? one of Mi Go was killed by a dog. their human allies used guns, but Mi Go didn't seem to carry any weaponry or armor. whatever they mined with doesn't seem to be useful in combat.
Which is kind of inconsistent as Mi Go don't want to wage war on humans as it woudl be impractical and they have tu use mor resuores... but they easily defeated Old Ones who were much more advanced race.
