Interesting, unfortunately I do not know much about their biology.

Two questions:
1) What material did you use to sculpt this dude?
2) Can your sculpture survive what an actual tardigrade can?

I'm afraid it can't It's some kind of polymer clay

I'm currently experimenting with sculptures (one of which I may upload as a deviation in the next days), but I'm using real, reddish clay, which makes a lot of dirt... It seems that the one you used is cleaner and somewhat easier to use, but I didn't find it yet to buy.

It's definately easier, very similar to plasticine. Good luck with your sculptures!

Epicka figurka! Niesporczaki są super - wyglądają słodko i są niezniszczalne! B)
A jak, powiedz, zrobiłeś te delikatne zmarszczki na tułowiu? - bardzo fajnie wyglądają

Those terrifying wee beasties...if Lovecraft had known of their existence, he would have shuddered in the realization that his cosmic horrors were all too real...

Tardigrades do not get enough love. I saw this one, and I flipped because oh my god someone appriciates one of the coolest creatures on the planet!
On top of that, its a really neat sculpture. It's really well crafted!

Isn't that that parasite that can live for billions of years on one meal and live virtually everywhere even in space! Those are really cool I remember listening to a brief lecture on those about 2 years ago.

Well it's a bit overestimated but generally it's extremely durable to harsh conditions.
