Narya and some of his fellow farm kid friends! And by that I mean they were all made in a lab. It was a human farm :>

I've been writing a lot Fisher stuff about living inside of the Order, while also reading a bunch of weird fiction/sci-fi book during the work commute, and I was trying to figure out several issues I had with how some stuff in Fisher worked, things like how does the Order get so many people with special abilities, how to get their parents out of the way, how to make it even more angsty and depressing and so on. You know, the usual stuff. Until one day, after getting out of the bus I went "wait... what if most of the soldiers including Narya were genetically engineered and born in a lab" and ever since that I've been angry at myself for not coming up with this earlier and needing like three books in a row having that as a plot/worldbuilding thing.

But yeah naturally living in a soldier training facility involves a lot of gym time, which comes with a lot of time in locker rooms, so when I was writing those I was thinking about a scene like this. I was also thinking about maybe sharing some snippets along with the illustrations, but turns out most of locker room time I've written involves conversations that would make absolutely zero sense out of context :c Anyway from left to right we have Ori the hyperactive kid, Lavi the empath mom, Ernol the helpful friend, Narya the new kid in the group and Rourk the combat experience kid.
