I LIKE GOOD LEAF MADNESS!I actually really like how this picture turned out, I don't think I was that happy about something I finished for years.... also it meets most of my requirements of a good wallpaper so I'm uploading a bit bigger size in case anyone liked it enough for that :>
Anyway this is one of several pieces I did for school, we were allowed to do whatever we wanted as long as we were able to explain why it's not a complete waste of time, so I'm doing sceneries from one of my many stories for two semesters while trying to pay attention to how to draw/paint/art. So far school has been doing its best to keep me so busy with tons of homework that I won't have time to just paint for days and think about what I'm doing, so this is basically to fight that. That and depression because wow was this semester terrible.
...BUT WHAT ABOUT THE FORESTS?? (Nope )

OH MY LEAF MADNESS INDEED *____* but WOW this turned out absolutely amazing!! the insane complexity and detail of the leaves are wonderfully rendered and done in such a lovely subtle way that they don't detract from the main shapes and vectors of the painting! i love the visceral, fractal shapes of the tree roots, they just look so amazingly alive! the character is wonderfully blended into the scene and gosh the earthy muted tones you use in all your work is gorgeous <333

Kvalitní listí je nejlepší listí! Musím ho nakreslit víc. Momentálně mam jeden wip a minimálně jeden návrh kde na to mam docela dost prostoru, takže LISTÍ BUDE. Listííííí.

I am! I wanted to play a bit more with the rest of the pictures I did because I refuse to call them done just because it's after deadline, but that one is either done or very close to it, depending on how comfortable I'll feel about it not having any fish in the water, so it should be up in a few days.

I think it turned out really good, but I do think based off watching you, you spend a huge amount of time on detail which can be good. Unless, you have an assignment coming up.
