Description This is really random. it didn't come out how i had imagined at all. when i was creating it, I wanted something more of a graphic feel, but my illustration skills kept kicking at me. Im gonna try the concept again, hopefully with the result i wanted.

Actually, I think the cartoon-y style works very good for this I also love the fish jumping for the shark (or whatever they're doing )

I enjoyed a first glance at "Surf Warning", esp the combo of menace (giant sea serpent heads/eels? grinning w/mouths of snaggle sharp teeth, the wide-eyed crab dragged along by undertow, cool yet sinister tentacles-of-the-deep) and the humor/whimsy of the ragged Jolly Roger (w/crow's nest and anchor still attached!), msg in a bottle,etc,

Sadly, it also evokes the tsunami (timing is only coincidental, not a rebuke at all). Yet this Surfer holds tenous lead over the overwhelming force of nature in pursuit.

Agreed w/critique by prior commentor, and with your own assessment, that your preference for drawing made this less of a graphic arts piece than intended.However,I think its very well done!

wow, that was really well said. yeah, you know the whole tsunami thing didn't cross my mind until you mentioned it. thanks for the assessment and im really happy you think it fits the bill.

This is very abstract, I love it, might look cool to take off the black outline, and give parts a gradient shading to make it look more graphic art if thats what you still wanted to do with this piece

haha yeah dude i think you're right on. I actually messed with the idea of taking the lines away, you can view it here:[link] and i do like the effect. the gradent could be a good call too. I usually mess with them, but for some reason here i stayed away. Thanks for the input dude!
