Yeah. Mm, I killed it. It looks better off the scanner at least. Only partially finished, just wished to gather some input before i continued. Any ideas for colors in the remaining areas? Thx <3NOTE: There have been a lot of inquiries recently from DA members to use this as a tattoo of their own. I'm flattered, and by all means go crazy - just please please please please please take photos to send to me.

I've been looking for WEEKS for a phoenix tattoo and I stumbled across this. This is beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. I read your note about how you're friend would kill you, I totally understand. I'd feel too guilty if I saved it without permission. So would it be ok? I'm willing to even show a picture if/when its done. If not, its really pretty. You're friend should be proud

Oo, this is amazing also! You can do such a great desings on phoenixes. All the decorative feathers around there make a nice look on this, and the colors fit well together. And with this one those tail feathers are so adorable again <3

A really light purple would look fantastic, I think. It's really beautiful just as is, though.

I love it just how it is. The blues really add a nice touch! They almost make the phoenix more authentic, since it's not all just gold and red.
Make the remaining parts (e.g. beak) more blue/purple? I just like it too much. xD

That is really fantastic! I love how graceful and composed the bird is... I can imagine the uncoloured areas actually looking quite complete as white (maybe with a bit of shading), but I can also see either green or violet in them.

I kinda like it the way it is... except the eye on the tail and the beek need color. I'm a fan of no-backgrounds, and in this case, it only brings full attention to the details of the feathers.
I don't know what you dislike about this, honestly! It's beautiful.

lol--I've got my da settings so it's always full view. :3 I didn't even see it in small view. lol It does look a bit cleaner in small view, but the full view has all the lovely textures. :3
