I've been seeing a lot of images that use focal blur that IN MY OPINION could have possibly used other methods to reach their full potential! I created this guide that might help some figure out when to use it and when not to!

Also I just wanna say the focal blur is never really NEEDED but it can create a cool effect if that's what you're going for! I tend to use it a lot!

Also, this is all from what I've learnt and my own opinions! You may have other ideas and that's entirely fine!!

OOH while I'm here I forgot to mention on the tutorial, gaussian blur is NOT the same as focal blur! It will create a very different effect!
