Description "Kira!" Rosemary shouted. Fenris grunted as the little girl ran straight into his groin, unwittingly.
"Oof~!" he sighed, snagging the giggling child and holding her. "You're getting to big to be doing that sort of thing, you know."
"Welcome home Kirraaa~!" She said as she hugged his head. Fenris carried the young Hawke into the parlour, setting her down on a velvet couch. She began to jump with glee. "Kira, Kira, where is daddy?"
"Out, I think…"
"With who?"
"Uncle Varric… and…" he sighed. "And Anders."
"I like Uncle Anders!" Fenris turned away, busying himself with some papers.
"I know you do." He muttered; Rosemary stopped bouncing.
"What's the matter?"
"Nothing, it is nothing." He gave her a weak, yet reassuring, smile. "You're almost six now, aren't you?"
"Yes!" she said. "And look what I can do!" Rosemary allowed her mana to pool into her hands, causing them to glow. Fenris swallowed hard.
"Yes, that… is certainly new…"
"Isn't it pretty?" she giggled. Fenris exhaled deeply.
"Yes… it is.. very pretty…"

Rosemary Hawke, the mage daughter of Donovan, sat on the couch.
"Kira?" she asked cheerfully, petting the soft seat. "Anders said…" she trailed off and looked away. Fenris' back stiffened, setting the papers down; he couldn't quite read these advanced documents of Donovan's just yet, but they no longer took his attention.
"What did Anders say?" he asked sharply, his green eyes staring at her. Rosemary sighed.
"Well… Andurrss saaaid that…."
"You aren't supposed to be alone with Anders."
"I know, Daddy said… why is that?"
"What did he say to you? Were you alone?"
"I was with Auntie Aveline! She was getting some medicine for the barracks from Anders, but she had to go 'take care of a ruffian' in the street…"
"And what did he say to you?"
"Weelll heee-"
"Rosemary…"
"…" she looked down and swished her feet a few times. "He said you hate mages…" she looked up at Fenris. "But you don't, do you?"
"… I…"
"Kira?" Rosemary's wide, blue eyes were fixated on the elf.
"… it is… complicated." Rosemary pouted with depressed eyes. "Rosemary-"
"But I'm a mage…" her voice squeaked.
"I do not hate you, Rosemary."
"Auntie Merrill is a mage…"
"I… do not… hate… Merrill……. Per se-"
"And Auntie Bethany too?"
"I d-"
"And Uncle Anders?" There was a silence. "Kira??"
"I do not care for Anders, no…"
"Kira?"
"Yes?"
"Anders… he said something else, too…"

- Meanwhile -

Donovan Hawke waved his arms as he nearly fell off of the narrow and winding path.
"Woah- shit~" he breathed. He laughed on his next exhale, his heart beating fast with a relieved smile on his face.
"Hah! Humans are so clumsy" Varric jested from ahead. Anders, who was behind them, sighed in relief; he had held his breath with widened eyes as Donovan nearly slipped.
"Ariane must have inherited all of the grace" he snickered. Anders panted from anxiety.
~ Forget the Hawke! ~ Justice barked from within.
'You can't change my mind!' he hissed back.

"Varric… what, exactly, are we doing?"
"Oh, you know me Hawke, making shit more difficult than it has to be… it's too bad Choir Boy couldn't join us"
"Sebastian is out of Kirkwall for the week, he wouldn't say why though…"
"It's awful quiet back there, Blondie- something on your mind?"
"Hm, me?"
"Does Hawke look blonde to you?" he chuckled.
"…right…"
"What's bothering you, Anders?" asked Donovan. The mage's spine tingled as his face went red, and to his luck that nobody was looking.
"Nothing, Donovan…" he smiled. Donovan….
"Yeah, Donovan" Varric snickered, that is until he realized that Hawke wasn't laughing.

Being the best bro of Hawke, he knew that Hawke was too kind to ask Anders to back off, yet he was uncomfortable with his advances… even after they almost… but didn't because of…

"We're off to Camelot!" Varric pronounced nobly. "But seriously, it's a Merchant's guild thing."
"Oh, Maker Varric!" Donovan nearly shouted, although his anger was jest. "I already told you that I can't risk tampering with your crazy merchant shit, I have a daughter to live for." Varric laughed, but Anders was too busy examining Hawke.
'He should be with me! I didn't leave him like that mutt; I loved him, I love him… that dog!' he thought to himself. 'Donovan, you're so beautiful… you want mages to be free; I am like your father, sister, daughter, Ariane's wife even… I should be in your family, I belong to you…..'

~ Enough! You soiled the opinions of that Hawke girl spread filth about her precious 'Kira' -~
'I SHOULD BE KIRA!'

"YO BLONDIE!"
"WHAT?!"
"Woah, calm your tits Andie; lost in thought today won't do you any good, considering you've stopped walking. You're gonna get lost keeping that up!" Anders cleared his throat, glancing around awkwardly as Donovan and Varric looked back at him from up the mountain path. "We're here, anyways; c'mon, I have a short amount of business to attend to."

- Later that Evening -

Ariane watched Fenris pace in the foyer from the balcony above.
"Fenris, what's eating you?" she raised an eyebrow. Merrill was giving Garrett a bath, and Rosemary was playing with Oghi and Sandal.
"Nothing."
"Oh, obviously." She smirked, watching him. After a brief moment of silence, she began to speak again. "You look anxious, or pissed… I can't tell which."
"Both."
"Such a shocker there; what's up?" she cocked her head, short black hair flowing to the side, bangs scraping over her pristine eyes.
"I'm waiting for Hawke to return home, I have to talk to him about-" the echo of the door clicked through the eerily quiet home.
"Speak of the devil." Said Ariane softly.
"Honey, I'm home!" Varric called.
"You brought guests?" Ariane called down. "You told me Isabella couldn't come over, but YOU can have guests?"
"I hate her." He bellowed back from the door.
"Not cool, man" she snickered, walking away. Fenris sat patiently on a nearby bench, but very soon rose from nervous behaviour.
"Daddy!" Rosemary exclaimed from the kitchen. Orana watched her skip to the foyer door; Sandal was still wrestling the hound. "Daddy!" Hawke emerged from the hall way going from the front door to vestibule. She ran into his arms, giggling wildly as she was scooped up.
"Hi baby." He said with a gentle smile, kissing her forehead. "Brace yourself, Fenris." He murmured. On any usual day, Fenris would take this as a reason to leave, for it was their way of saying that Anders was about to arrive.
"Hawke-" he began, but before he could get another word out Anders came in. Almost immediately, their eyes locked in an unspoken hate.
"What?!" he hissed. "Too private to say in front of me?" he rolled his eyes "SO sorry." Varric sighed, scratching the back of his neck.
"Awkward…" he mumbled.
"Oh, great, the demons' here." Fenris growled.
"Oh really awkward… c'mon Bianca, let's go find Daisy and say hello while we're here." He shuffled off as Donovan set Rosemary down.
"Go play, darling." He said to her.
"Welcome home, messere, can I-"
"Bodahn, can you take Rosemary away for a short while?"
"Oh, certainly; come along, Ms. Hawke." He smiled cheerily at Rosemary before taking her hand to lead her into the parlour.
"But… why are they-"
"Come along, now…"

Anders and Fenris held firm stances, nothing but static air between them; time was still and everything around them was boring, stagnant... they were the focus of life and hate.
"Who do you have to ruin everything you touch?!"
"Oh, mages ruin everything they touch, what haven't mages spoiled, oooh~!"
"I'm not talking about mages, I am talking about YOU!"
"I don't bel-"
"You are insufficient as a person,-"
"I-"
"-using Hawke's child to toy with my emotions, to sabotage-"
"What, your family?" Fenris barred his teeth. "You aren't a Hawke-"
"I am more Hawke than what you will EVER be!" Anders opened his mouth to scream some sort of comeback, but he was interrupted by Hawke.

"Shut up, everybody just shut up!" There was tension rippling through the wave of silence. "What is all of this about??!"
"Anders-"
"Oh, let's tattle and hide behind Hawke!"
"Anders, please!" Donovan exclaimed.
"… Anders told Rosemary a lot…"
"Wh… what do you mean, about…" Fenris' sad eyes averted from looking into those of Donovan. "… oh… Fenris."
"Oh, Fenris, boohoo!"
"You have a lot of nerve, mage!" Fenris snapped.
"Try something, I dare you." He hissed back. Donovan sighed as they continued to quarrel.

'Maybe… maybe Varric will come in, make a joke, and everybody will walk away heated? Why can't I think of anything to say…' Donovan rubbed his temples.

"You are just… childish, Anders, that is the most attractive word for you!"
"Attractive? That was an insult!"
"ALL of the facts about you are insults!"
"At least I'm not some self-absorbed, whiney Tevinter bitch!"
"You told a little girl that I, and I quote, took what I wanted from her father and left him until I felt the urge to seduce him again for my own selfish needs!"
"And I truly believe that!"
"Great!" he growled. "But that doesn't mean you should tell that to Hawke's six-year-old daughter!"
"Says you…"
"I don't go around telling her that you're a whiney, backstabbing brat who almost played sloppy seconds when it came to Hawke's love interest!"
"Says you!"
"Tell that to the other Grey Wardens, I'm sure they'll embrace you deserting their ranks!"
"Says you!!"
"Is that ALL you can think of?!"
"~ Enough, foul wretch! ~"
"Oh, Hello 'Justice,' tired of playing a backseat fool?"
"~ You are an inglorious concubine! ~"
"I am tired of this! Hawke, are you deaf?! Say something!" Fenris crossed his arms.
"All right, all right…" Donovan looked at the both of them; Anders' eyes returned to gold.

"I… did Justice…?"
"Don't play dumb, or are you truly the belligerent animal I suspected you were after all?"
"What? ... oh stuff it, slave!"
"You are the only slave I see here-"
"That is because this room lacks any mirrors!"
"- Donovan told me all about it… 'Oh Hawke, I lay away every night, yearning, no; aching for you..-"
"That was private information!"
"Nothing is private between those in love, Anders, you wouldn't know!"
"I will slaughter you and rid this world of another rabid dog!" Anders drew his staff… the one that Donovan had given to him.
"I hope you were talking to Justice; I have no intention of dying just yet, and especially not at your filthy hand!" the rare sword from Tevinter was drawn, the blade seeking blood.

"No, stop!" Donovan cried out.
"What is going on?!" Ariane shrieked.
Fenris gasped.
"Donovan!" Anders screamed; the Champion stood between the once electric dissension of the two before him, blood running down the angle of the Sword of Mercy, a lightning flower spreading on his ribcage that remained exposed from a magical storm intended for Fenris. Donovan opened his mouth to speak, but the place of words was taken by blood as he fell down.

wow- he gets hit from both of them?! Thats an intense way to end it..... The only suggestion I have- maybe break up some of the dialogue with longer descriptive pieces since you have several characters here that I think are your OCs?- I see that you did try to explain some of that in your notes but jumping around the conversations/ locations without really knowing who everyone was got a little confusing.
You did a really great job with the character of the little girl- I like that she picks up on whats going on w/ the adults cause little kids really are perceptive that way- and that they use her as a sort of hostage in their fighting- again a very real life detail. Well done!
