"This...feels wrong...!" Daring Do informs her brother, younger only by a year or two, the moment she and him stand before an old ruined temple deep within the forests of Tambelon Island, "I mean...don't get me wrong, little brother: I do love an adventure now-a-then...but this one, just feels wrong."

"I've got a feeling you may be right...." Clever Wits concurs, only to turn his head away from the temple in order to give his sister a concerned look, "...and you never had to come with me on this, sis. Charade has been the main target of my agency for years, and is my responsibility to bring in to face justice for the dozens of thefts he has committed all over the world."

"Clever...!" Daring reacts in a way that only somepony close to another can: Placing her hoof upon Clever's shoulders and looking into his eyes with concern, "You are my brother, and the only family I have left; I know you chose a life of protecting the world, tracking down world criminals and villains...including Charade...and ensuring I would fulfill my dream of becoming an author and adventurer, but...." She now begins to say, with a confident smirk upon her lips, "...you never need to worry about me, not anymore. I am your sister and I vow that we will bring in Charade...together!"

    "Sis...I...."

    "Not finished, silly."

    "Sorry...."

"What I am saying is...maybe the reason why Charade has evaded everypony who has gone after him is because they never knew him like you and I do," Daring Do speaks with such truth, the way each and every novel of hers is written and printed, "But when you and I teamed up years ago, despite the pain of the past coming back to hurt me, we beat our older brother and saved this kingdom."

Clever reacts with a smile and a nod of his head, which brings his sandy-brown mane to brush forward the same, "You got that right. Oh, and don't forget the little pegasus fan of yours who tagged along; If it wasn't for him, neither of us would have made it out of that temple."

"That is very true. Although, it was thanks to your brilliance that allowed for that as well; You always were one to use your brilliance for escaping dangerous situations few can think their way out of in such little time."

"You have your own smarts too, A.K." Clever adds in, "That is why we are related. Plus, your brain is what allows for you to write such fascinating books that have become such bestsellers I have ever come to love; Whenever I have time off from work, I always sit down and read each and every newly published book of yours...and discover what adventures you have been on."

"Awwwww...." Daring chuckles, giving her little brother a gentle punch in the leg with her hoof, "You're making me blush...and serious, that is just uncool." She admits, giggling like the tomboyish schoolgirl she is deep inside. "So...you really have read all my books?"

"Every single one of them. Its nice to read on what you have been doing, since you always seem to deal with the most unexpected dangers out in the world...while I deal with my own," Clever rubs his left leg and smiles, explaining everything.

"Thanks, Clever. You really are, and have always been, the coolest bro I have every known," Daring Do admits, raising her leg to hold up her hoof before her brother as a means to ask for a hoofbump. "I'm glad I came to help you with this: Charade is the brother who has done nothing but cause trouble for us both since we were foals, and now...together...we will bring him down."

"No question about it!" Clever concurs, bumping his own hoof into that of his sister's, "Charade won't even know what hit him!"

"Actually...." A sudden voice from above atop the ruins just a ways up.

Just as Daring and Clever turn their gaze away from each other to strike their view on up to glance at who spoke, a group of six stallions...holding a net all around with three on one side and three on the next...jump on downward and land perfectly, with their next covering their "Catch of the day."

"What th-" Clever gasps, unable to move while the stallions all around keep the net on their tight.

"Hey!" Daring snarls, attempting to use her wings and strength to push through...but to no avail.

"....it is YOU who never saw what just hit you!~" The brown stallion with the fancy blank mane mocks the two trapped ponies, hopping his way down one block at a time that stick out of the ancient ruins of the temple before them.

"DR. CABALLERON!!!" Daring Do shouts the name of one of her adversaries, upon spotting his features that are very recognizable from her past encounters with him, "What are you doing here?!"

"Heh, what do you think?" The wicked and greedy stallion teases once more.

"Lemme guess: The crown Charade stole is worth it's weight in gold. A lot of gold!" Clever Wits guesses.

"Bingo!" Caballeron says, "He promised me and my henchponies plenty for helping him to steal Princess Twilight Sparkle's crown...and for ensuring we capture you both!" He chuckles, "Looks like I will be getting an even greater share once I bring you to him!~"

Before either can respond to that, Daring and Clever feel the irritating feeling of themselves being dragged along the dirt of the ground...and then the cold stones of the temple upon being taken inside. Noticing how only a few hencheponies remain behind to watch the entrance, the two ponies grunt and groan as Dr. Caballeron takes them deeper into this temple, which is part of Old Tambelon, and into the unknown for what may lie within:

    Trouble with a capital "T"

"Let go of us!!" Daring Do snaps at the henchponies, who begin to take hold of both her and her brother and move them both to the nearby crippled and broken pillars that barely seem stable. "No!" She shouts, only to feel her back pressed up against the cold, rough surface of the old tree trunk behind. What comes next to her and to her brother nearby are the sharp, rough ropes tied all around their bodies, upper legs, and her wings; Since Clever has no wings, the pain of such has been spared from him.

"You heard her...and me: Release us!" Clever adds in, struggling to break free of the bindings around him.

"Not gonna happen, you helpless little ponies!" Dr. Caballeron retorts, "If you wanted to avoid capture...you should have not been having a warm, heart-to-heart sibling talk right outside the temple where we were watching you from all around."

"Yeah!!" The henchponies all reply and chuckle with such evil in their voices.

The two helpless ponies attempt at struggling more and more...but to no avail: Their bindings are perhaps the strongest item within this temple, since everything else is ancient and could give away at any moment.

"HAHA! Struggle all you like! It will do neither of you...NO GOOD!~" A new, yet familiar voice, speaks up from within the shadows nearby where the torches within do not shine.

"I know that voice from anywhere...." Daring mutters, snarling a bit before uttering the name of the one coming out of the shadows, "Ahuizotl!!!"

What steps out into the view of the two prisoners is a tall, blue creature that is the very species to which he himself is named: Ahuizotl. A being of both monkey and dog features with a paw upon the end of his tail to match the four he walks upon. Grinning his razor-sharp fangs, Daring's number-one enemy...or more number two after stating her older brother is more of her mortal enemy...stands before the two prisoners, and releasing a hearty chuckle, "Awwww...I'm surprised you remembered me."

    "How could I not?!"

"Oh, let me see...." The wicked creature, known throughout the Daring Do fans across the world, says and begins to ponder on it for just a second, "...maybe because YOU have been busy helping your dear, sweet brother trying to track down somepony more IMPORTANT THAN I AM?!!!"

Hearing such words only brings Daring Do to grin in amusement, "Awwwwww...I never knew you cared so much~" She teases, feeling no need to be afraid, despite her situation, "You know I love you, Ahuizotl...but if you were desperate for some attention from your favorite adversary...you could have just sent me some flowers and a letter if you missed me so much~"

Clever just smirks and snickers under his breath from that response.

"Hmph!" The unamused Ahuizotl snorts and shakes his head, "How charming of you to engage in mockery before a fight. Its too badthough. I was hoping we could have one last dance before your end arrives...which will be today in only a moment!~"

"I wouldn't miss it for the world," Daring once more uses her charisma and charm as a brilliant adventurer and writer, "Buuuuut...I seem to be...tied up...at the moment, so we will have to put that on hold."

"We shall see about that...you foolish pony!"

"Hey! Watch what you call my sister!" Clever snaps, defending his own sibling, "She is a lot of things...but foolish is never one of them!"

"Oh really....?" Another voice, coming out of the shadows, retorts with a tone that is both deep and dark as the temple around them. However, that all changes when the horn atop his head glows bright with blue magic, and lights up the entire inside of the temple...revealing a large number of henchponies of both mare and stallion, jungle cats of various species from a lion to a tiny kitten, Dr. Caballeron, Azhuizotl, and dead in the middle of it all is none other than the one leading them all:

"CHARADE!!!" Both Daring Do and Clever Wits shout, stating the name of the one who is both their older brother and mortal enemy since after their foalhood years.

"Correct!~" The sandy-coated unicorn, with a long mane of purple on both his head and behind on his tail, replies with a wicked smile that shows just how evil he is: The surrounding of other villains, the kidnapping of his own brother and sister, and the crown he holds with his magic beside him, is all the evidence to know just what kind of pony he is: A thief...and a ruthless one. "It has been too long...for YOU, dear sister: I have not seen you since...five years?~"

"Six!" Daring corrects her older brother.

"Ahh, yes. Give or take!" Charade chuckles, "You were so afraid to face your past that it made it easy to capture you and that little colt, Gust, when you thought it was your dear little brother...." He mentions the events of long ago, only to turn to the left to look upon his sworn enemy and youngest sibling, "...Clever. So good of you to bring "Daring Do" to our little family reunion. I never thought it possible...since she seems so ashamed of her own family."

"Mainly you, Charade!" Clever retorts, "I didn't force her to come! She wanted to!"

"That's right!" Daring concurs, supporting the only brother she has ever loved as any sister would, "I know Clever wishes to keep me happy and fulfill my dream of being a famous author and adventurer, while he protects the world from criminals like YOU...and the rest here...but, after each victory...each story published...and each and every time I think of the times we spent together, I realized that the only way to put an end to that which has been a burden to both my brother, my one and only TRUE brother, is to take YOU down...Charade!"

Amused for the moment, Charade gives a hearty chuckle and flashes the crown before them both, "Well...congratulations, Daring Do. It seems you have put the fear of the past behind you and are willing to face me completely. Buuuuuuut...."

    "But what?!"

"You seem to be in quite a pickle. Both you and Clever here. So...I doubt this little moment of bravery will do you much good," The wicked master of disguises mocks onto his little sister, "Besides...you two falling into our trap, only brings me a sweeter victory...along with the crown of Princess Twilight Sparkle!" He holds up the magical crown of Tambelon's ruler and Princess of Friendship, for all to see in all its beauty and glory, "This will prize is perhaps the greatest triumph of my infamous career...and with the two of you here, helpless and at my mercy, I plan to enjoy the fruits of my victory...TO ITS FULLEST!!!"

The whole temple falls into an uproar of laughter and cheering, for the villains and their henchponies all feel that all their work will soon pay off.

"You wont get away with this, Charade!" Clever Wits shouts, attempting for his voice to overpower the crowd of evil villains all around him.

"Oh...little brother...I already have~" He laughs, holding up the crown before the one who is perhaps his greatest adversary: His own younger brother, "I already have!"

Both Daring and Clever can only snarl and glare at the master jewel thief and realize they may be trapped...tied to the old branches of the tree rooted deep within the old ruins of Tambelon, knowing they alone cannot escape nor expect any help. To A.K. Yearling and Clever Wits, this may be the end...without a new book to tell of this tale.

AFTER A SUCCESSFUL OPENING WRITTEN....

"Alright! That sounds like a perfect beginning to this story~" I, Author Penfeather...author of the many stories revolving around Twilight Sparkle, Courageous Heart, and their adventures together since they first met...say with pride upon adding in the next part of my finale story, "Not bad, but as long as I do not add too much in during this part, I am sure A.K. Yearling will forgive me; Some of this is apart of her story she wrote after this amazing adventure, so I have to be careful and not try to appear as if I am stealing...which I am not."

I chuckle and begin to ponder a little more on what to add next and what to leave out so the readers of my new book may read the Daring Do story on this so they can see ALL that happened prior to this moment.

"Ahh, I got it!" I declare with a smile, raising my quill up and dipping the sharp end into the ink so that I may have enough for the next passage I shall write, "But before I continue...I think it is safe to say that I should remain focused and not take too many breaks to talk to myself; I mean...that would just annoy both myself and anypony wishing to know what happens next," I merely give off a delightful chuckle and return my focus onto the scroll before me.

"All hope seemed lost while both Clever Wits and his sister, Daring Do, remained tied to the elder trunk of the tree growing within the old ruined temple: All their greatest adversaries gathered together...led by their brother Charade, outnumbered and possibly outmatched, Princess Twilight Sparkle's crown now in their possession...which is worth a royal ransom, plus themselves as leverage to whatever is in-store for them, there seems to be nothing that can be done."

"Not even Clever Wit's brilliant mind may help him and Daring escape this inescapable situation...."
