Hello everybody! I planned on spending the summer making a lot of art, but this summer ended up being so busy that I didn't get to do very much art at all!Anyway, this is a self portrait of myself and my cat Josie in loaf cat / chicken mode. The sketchbook says "I will be successful" because lately I've been feeling really discouraged about my art and finding an art job (since this is my last year of college)......... ah well....Β

This is a really lovely self-portrait!Β I feel like a lot of your personality is infused in this.Β The open sketchbook is a nice detail for an artist's portrait, too.Β Chin up about your art--it's lovely and you enjoy it, right?Β And if you don' find an art job, don't write off your passion entirely--keep doing what you love, even if it's just as a hobby or freelance work.Β ^^

Wow, her eyes really pop out for me in their intricate detailing.Β Love the soft shading on her skin and the kitty's stripes.Β And, it appears what's been drawn has come to life!
