Very good idea to use a feather. Just one thing: in my mind you should take off the little white thing at the left up corner.

It's not "real white" but the left top corner is very light blue, I think you should just cut some pixels at the top of image and it would be (almost) perfect.

Not only do I love the color in this, but I like the circular shape that seems to be the focal point of the piece. Once you look away from circle, and move on to the background, the texture is simply amazing. The bottom has a fluffy, and very soft appeal to it, while the upper most half seems to have a soft but more smooth look to it. I personally love the contrast in textures.
The only thing that looks even a little bit off is the bottom part of the circle meeting the feather (?). It's seems like it might be sitting on the top of textures and I think that it might look better if some of the fluff of the feathers was in front of the circle. It might just be the lighting on the bottom though. 
Other than that though I think that the shot itself is simply amazing.
