I was wondering how you make these. I see some Lego under there... Do you make a Lego skeleton and then 3D print the outer pieces?

Yes, usually I make skeleton from some cheap Lego knock off, just to keep symmetry in whole frame. Outer pieces are from hand cutted polystyren, 3D printing is not fun at all
