as I get ready to depart
I take in to consideration
everything that I will be
leaving
this is something new I've
taught myself how to do to
see around corners & think
in a more holistic manner
so not only am I taking
leave
from that which I will bid
good riddance but as well
from what has brought me
joy and shown me beauty
and for those Earthlings
and objects and instances
I am grateful not just for my
leaving
but for the chance we had
to ever meet at all, for me
to have even experienced
them, in whatever capacity
from the flowers to the trees
to these ever so beautiful
leaves
