Description
Yeah, this was a speed painting I did in MS paint and only took me, like, 5 seconds (its called copy and pasteNah, actually Photoshop CS2, and about 5 hours of work, with some help by on the lighting with her tips and tricks through MSN chat
This is done for my Grade 11 Art, University level, Final Art Project.
I went through my old work, found this, and someone mention I should update it or digitalis it, so, here we are. Two birds with one stone, as one would say.

This....Is.....Amazing. You're a great artist and you're Canadian! Nice job with smoke and the CADPAT. Proud Canadian. Also I have a friend in the Reserves, I think he'll join full time just not when.
I noticed your reply below about the weapons and loved the fact that Canada's military needs different guns because it snows here 'eh?

Well, its not the actuall CADPAT, same colours but if you noticed is blotch camo, not digital camo. I couldn't figure out how to do digital camo at the time.
Also, I didn't really mention on this version, but this image is of CSOR, a support branch of JTF2.

I'm thinking of joining that branch of the military.

JTF2 is hard to get into, like I heard the minimum for the Beep Test is 21 for JTF2.
Also this picture is based of an image of CSOR, a lower branch of JTF2.
If you go JTF2, you have to give up your life, for that's how secret it is.
Just simply join a Reserve unit, and if you like it and feel like doing it for a full time job, then switch to Regforce, and still enjoying it, then apply and see if CSOR picks you up (for I think to gain JTF2 you have to go through CSOR now).

Don't they pick people that have a few year of regular soldiering under their belts?
It wouldn't be hard for me to give up my life. I'm adaptable.

Well, that too, if they see your records of outstanding performances if you apply or you get noticed by a recruiter.

Beautiful work, friend. Lighting is spectacular, and I think I identify M4 Carbines or M16A2s? Just guesses.

Um, nope. It's the Canadian weapon series.
C8A1s if I remember right.
C8s are the Canadian version of the M4s
C7s are the Canadian version of the M16s
C6 is the Canadian version of the FN GPMG
C9s are the Canadian version of the M249 SAW
Why our versions, for we designed them to operate in our climates. Compared to the U.S. where it doesn't get that cold.
Like for the C7 series, we introduced the forward assist, a pin that strikes the bolt to break off any ice forming on the bolt face. The U.S. then copied the forward assist back into their later versions of M16s and M4s.

Hey there gunner,
That pic is more reminiscent of us in CSOR, or maybe that's me just being biased... JTF2 is typically all black and operate with the high speed stuff. Least what we see on the Hill anyways.
Great picture there though. Love it. Looks similar to the recruiting banners. Tres bien!

Isn't CSOR a branch with JTF2?
Yeah, I did this based on an image I found saying JTF2 CSOR on it.
I did this originally back in 2006 ([link] - coloured [link] sketch) when you guys where all just bran new. This was an re-update version of it for 2008. As you notice in the old one I mentioned CSOR, but I haven't checked out about CSOR since 2006, so I still thought you guys were part with JTF2, so I renamed the new version Joint Task Force 2.
P.S. this was done way before I joined the CF, so I really didn't know about true military stuff like I didn't know that was a 521 radio with long whip on the left guy (dam thing kept stabbing me in the eye at Meaford on my SQ).

WOW, I had to fave this because I'm canadian n I think its great that ur posting JTF2 pics. They go through just as much as the SAS and in my opinion one of the coolest special forces ever.

Thanks
England sends some of the SAS to be trained here do to our wonderful terrian.
Well, I think the JTF2 go through more then SAS, for their trained to work with SAS, SEALS, that Australian one, the German one and GIGN? for they're like extra backup to any of there missions if not on a Canadian one.

Wow the tactical gear on the soldiers, and the guns looks great.
Would those happen to be m16's?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
KodyYoung In reply to Shin-Savior [2009-02-15 08:16:42 +0000 UTC]
heh, really they're C7A2s or C8s (forget which ones they really are, they look the same ).
Pretty much the C series is Canadian versions of another gun. For the C7 is a copy of a M16 and C8 is a copy of the M4.
Reason, we need it to work in cold, harsh environments, unlike the U.S., where it's always warm.
