I wasn't going to upload this, but it's been A MONTH since I uploaded anything. D: My computer is still broken, sorry guys. I know I need to finish my art trades. T_T My goal is to upload at least one picture per week, so it's actually worth watching me...ANYWAYS THE PICTURE YAY! So I am taking an Adobe Illustrator class, and our first project was to make 3 distinct patterns that go well together, using only the shape tool. So I made this madness using ONLY circles and triangles. Then I put it all together pretty much by hand...in the next session I learned all the shortcuts that would have allowed me to make this in half the time. I thought I did the project wrong, but the other students and my teacher really liked it. He told me when the class is over, I will be an Illustrator ninja. YES, I am finally going to school to become a ninja, it was only a matter of time...
One last thing, the raw file is huge and clean...I don't know why the jpeg exported so crappily. When I figure out how to make it nicer, I'll change it.

Hehe, go hog wild with those shapes! Two shapes is working well though, you get a good play between the curves and straight edges, and simplicity is often appealing. I could totally see this as a shower curtain/bathroom set especially

I have already given you my opinion about this piece, and I will not waste your time and mine by restating it.
I will waste your time and mine by saying that I went to the beach on Saturday and cleaned it up for many critters similar to these ones you have Illustrated.
Damnedest thing though, none of them thanked me. Lousy ungrateful crabs.
